      Advice: The 34-year-old right-hander also hit Aaron Judge with a pitch in his worst performance of the season, as Suarez tossed only 49 of 96 pitches for strikes. His control has been slipping since he returned to the rotation in late May -- over his last five starts, Suarez has a 19:13 K:BB in 23 innings despite a superficially strong 2.35 ERA. With Dean Kremer (triceps) closing in on a return and Cade Povich coming off an impressive outing against Atlanta, Suarez could wind up getting bumped to the bullpen once again.       Advice: The Brewers led 6-0 going into the ninth inning, but both Elieser Hernandez and Joel Payamps struggled. That led to Megill entering the game with runners on first and second, and he got Taylor Ward to fly out to end the Angels' rally. Megill has a save in six straight outings and he's converted his last eight chances. He's now 14-for-15 in save opportunities on the year with a 2.11 ERA, 1.17 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB over 21.1 innings, functioning as the Brewers' primary closer while Devin Williams (back) is out.       Trevor Megill barely retired the only batter he faced for his 14th save Tuesday against the Angels.

      Advice: The Brewers led this one 6-0 going into the bottom of the ninth, but both Elieser Hernández and Joel Payamps struggled to put the game away. Megill came in with the tying run at the plate and gave up a long flyball to Taylor Ward that Sal Frelick made a jumping catch on at the wall. Statcast said it would have been a homer in zero of MLB’s 30 stadiums, but it did look like it would have gotten over the wall in Angel Stadium if Frelick hadn’t gotten in the way.     • Albert Suárez struggles in loss to Yankees
      Albert Suárez allowed three earned runs over 3 2/3 innings while striking out three in Tuesday’s loss to the Yankees.

      Advice: Suárez got through the first inning unscathed but ran into trouble in the second inning after a one-out walk to Gleyber Torres. Austin Wells doubled in the following at-bat and was eventually driven in by an Anthony Volpe double. He got out of the jam with just the one run allowed but kicked off the third inning by hitting Aaron Judge with a pitch and allowing a long single to Alex Verdugo. Giancarlo Stanton singled to drive home Judge. Suárez didn’t make it out of the fourth inning after being pulled with two outs following a walk to Stanton.     • Nearing mound work
      Blue Jays manager John Schneider said that Romano (elbow) threw from 90-to-120 feet Monday, Kaitlyn McGrath of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: According to Mike Wilner of the Toronto Star, if Romano responds well to Monday's workout, he'll be cleared to throw off a mound Wednesday for the first time since landing on the 15-day injured list June 1 with right elbow inflammation. Since he's a closer who typically doesn't pitch more than an inning in his appearances, Romano won't require an extensive ramp-up period, but the Blue Jays will still likely want to send him out on a brief minor-league rehab assignment prior to activating him from the IL. Yimi Garcia has served as the Blue Jays' primary closer while Romano has been on the shelf, but Garcia is considered day-to-day with an elbow issue of his own. However, outfielder Blake Perkins threw out Stuart Fairchild at home to end the game. It ended up being a scoreless inning for Megill, who lowered his ERA to 2.14 on the season.
