    • On base four times in win
Donovan went 3-for-4 with a walk, one RBI and one run scored in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Donovan had just six hitless games in June -- two of which were at the start of the month and two more at the end. He got off to a positive start in July with Tuesday's effort, his third three-hit game over his last 11 contests. He's up to a .270/.340/.414 slash line with eight home runs, 42 RBI, 37 runs scored, two stolen bases, 18 doubles and one triple over 79 games. Donovan's hit well enough to have a near-everyday role in left field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:51 pm

    • Lifts 13th homer
Burleson went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run in Tuesday's 7-4 win over the Pirates.

Advice: Burleson fizzled late in June, going 1-for-14 over his last four contests, but he started July on a high note. The outfielder had great June overall, hitting .271 with seven homers, 20 RBI, 18 runs scored, three stolen bases and an .824 OPS over 28 contests. That's earned him a starting role in right field and as the Cardinals' No. 2 hitter. For the season, Burleson is slashing .280/.313/.466 with 13 homers, 40 RBI, 33 runs scored and five steals through 77 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:48 pm
    • Locks down save No. 18
Megill allowed one hit and struck out two in a scoreless ninth inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 4-3 win over the Rockies.

Advice: The Brewers scored two runs in the top of the ninth to take a one-run lead, and Megill came through in the bottom of the frame for his 18th save despite giving up a two-out single. The right-hander has converted 12 straight save chances and hasn't allowed a run across his past nine appearances, which has improved his ERA to 1.59 and WHIP to 0.99, respectively. • Trevor Megill slams door on Rockies in ninth
Trevor Megill slammed the door on the Rockies in the ninth inning on Tuesday evening, preserving a one-run lead to notch his 18th save of the season.

Advice: The Brewers rallied to score twice in the top half of the ninth inning, setting the stage for Megill to come on and do his thing. The 30-year-old hurler made it look easy once again, getting Ezequiel Tovar on a fly ball to center and Brendan Rodgers on a swinging third strike to begin the inning. He did allow a two-out single to Ryan McMahon, but battled back to get Elias Diaz on a swinging third strike to end it. Megill has been awesome in the closer’s role for the Brewers this season, converting 18 of his 19 save chances while registering a masterful 1.59 ERA over 28 1/3 innings. Rotoworld Yesterday, 9:14 pm
    • Strikes out eight in win
Gibson (6-3) earned the win against the Pirates on Tuesday, allowing four runs on five hits and one walk with eight strikeouts over five innings.

Advice: Gibson was cruising early, striking out the side in each of the second and fourth innings, but he allowed four runs on two homers in the fifth. He bounced back with his control after walking five batters June 26 but was pulled after a season-low 79 pitches and has surrendered four earned runs in back-to-back outings. On the season, the veteran owns a 3.88 ERA, 1.24 WHIP and 85:37 K:BB over 92.2 innings and lines up for a road matchup against the Nationals this weekend. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:07 pm
    • Soler hits 10th homer of season to down Braves
Jorge Soler went 1-for-5 with a home run in Tuesday’s win over the Braves.

Advice: Soler hit his 10th homer of the season on Tuesday night when he hit a 407-foot shot off Reynaldo López to give the Giants their first run of the game. Soler has now hit in three straight games and has driven in three RBI over that span while tallying five extra-base hits. The recent power surge is an encouraging sign for the veteran DH, who entered the day slashing .230/.311/.398. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:26 pm
    • Gibson gets a win in an uneven performance
Kyle Gibson allowed four runs on five hits in five innings in a win over the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: The veteran had pitched four shutout innings before allowing four runs and two home runs in the fifth inning, which would wind up being his last. Gibson also struck out eight and walked just one on the day. Gibson’s newfound strikeout ability is due to his reliance on his sweeper, which has become his most-used pitch. That offering got eight whiffs on 14 swings today and Gibson posted a 34 percent whiff rate and 37 percent CSW overall. The improved swing and miss in his game is for real, but he’s still vulnerable to giving up hard contact; however, he makes a decent streaming option against the Nationals this weekend. • Trevor Megill works scoreless ninth in tie game
Trevor Megill worked a scoreless ninth in a tie game Monday against the Rockies.

Advice: Megill got a visit from the trainer after apparent tweaking his ankle while covering first base, but he was allowed to continue. He wound up preserving the tie in the ninth before the Brewers lost in the 10th. Rotoworld Monday, 9:19 pm
    • Cracks 10th homer
Contreras went 3-for-5 with a solo homer, a double and two runs scored in Monday's loss at Colorado.

Advice: The 26-year-old drew the start at designated hitter and reached double-digit homers for the third consecutive season with a solo shot off Austin Gomber. Contreras also collected his team-leading 20th double of the season. Overall, the Milwaukee star is now slashing .296/.355/.451 with 51 RBI and 59 runs scored across 369 plate appearances.
