• Confirmed to start Saturday
Plesac will start Saturday's game against the Dodgers, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After posting a quality start his Angels debut, Plesac will get another go-around in the rotation as a fill-in for Jose Soriano (abdomen) who's on the 15-day IL. While Plesac only allowed three runs in his first start, he surrendered a pair of home runs and will face a power-heavy Dodgers lineup Saturday. Rotowire.com 50 minutes ago
  • Late addition to Friday's lineup
Stefanic is starting at second base and batting eighth in Friday's game against the Dodgers, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Stefanic was inserted into Friday's lineup after Brandon Drury was scratched due to an illness. Since being recalled from Triple-A Salt Lake on June 8, Stefanic has played in seven major-league games, going 6-for-22 with four RBI. Rotowire.com 53 minutes ago

  • Scratched Friday with illness
Drury was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Dodgers due to an illness, Sam Blum of The Athletic reports.

Advice: After being scratched from Wednesday's lineup due to an illness, Drury was set to return to action Friday following the team's off day Thursday. The illness appears to have lingered around, however, and Drury will sit out for at least one more game. Michael Stefanic will start at second base and bat eighth against Dodgers right-hander Landon Knack, per Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register. Rotowire.com 59 minutes ago

  • Brandon Drury (illness) scratched again on Friday
Brandon Drury was scratched from the Angels’ starting lineup once again on Friday night due to illness.

Advice: Drury was scratched from the team’s lineup on Wednesday due to illness as well. The Angels had been hopeful that he would return to the lineup on Friday night, but he was still feeling a bit under the weather. He’s still considered day-to-day and could return to the lineup as early as Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 4:45 pm

  • Set for rehab start Tuesday
Kershaw (shoulder) will make his second rehab start for Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday, Bill Plunkett of The Orange County Register reports.

Advice: Kershaw made his first rehab outing with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday, when he allowed one run on two hits and one walk while striking out five over three innings. His fastball reached 90 miles per hour, which was right around his velocity in the 2023 regular season. Kershaw will need multiple rehab outings before joining the Dodgers' rotation, which could happen around the All-Star break in mid-July. Rotowire.com Today, 4:28 pm

  • Clayton Kershaw to make second rehab start Tuesday
Clayton Kershaw (shoulder) will make his second minor league rehab start at Triple-A Oklahoma City on Tuesday.

Advice: The 36-year-old southpaw threw 36 pitches over three innings in his first minor league rehab start at High-A Rancho Cucamonga on Wednesday. Expect that he’ll build up to around 50 pitches during Tuesday’s outing. The original expectation was that Kershaw would require around four minor league rehab starts before he was ready to join the Dodgers’ rotation. Rotoworld Today, 4:27 pm

  • Not starting Friday
Perkins is not in the starting lineup for Friday's game against the Padres.

Advice: Perkins has struggled over his last 10 games, going 4-for-31 with a 34.3 percent strikeout rate, and he has not recorded a hit over his last four games. Sal Frelick, Jackson Chourio and Christian Yelich will man the outfield Friday while Tyler Black serves as the designated hitter against Padres right-hander Dylan Cease. Rotowire.com Today, 4:17 pm
  • Continuing recovery at Arizona
Bradford (rib/back) is throwing a bullpen session Friday and then will be sent to the Rangers' Arizona Complex League affiliate, Evan Grant of The Dallas Morning News reports.

Advice: Bradford has been sidelined since April with a lower back strain and a stress fracture in his rib. However, he's been making steady progression in June and will continue his recovery process in Arizona. While it's unclear when Bradford will start facing hitters, a return shortly after the All-Star break seems feasible. Rotowire.com Today, 4:16 pm

  • Yankees among teams interested in Garrett Cooper
According to Robert Murray of Fansided, the Yankees are among the teams that have expressed interest in free agent first baseman Garrett Cooper.

Advice: It’s not surprising to hear that the Yankees are exploring external options with Anthony Rizzo (forearm), though most fantasy managers want to see them let Ben Rice get a chance to run with the opportunity. Cooper was released by the Red Sox last Saturday after hitting just .174/.227/.229 in 70 at-bats with the team. Rotoworld Today, 4:11 pm
