With the Rockies waiting to see if Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) will require a trip to the injured list, Amador will remain on the club's taxi squad for the time being.     Advice: Amador has been sizzling-hot of late for Double-A Harford, batting .359 with six homers over his last nine games, on the heels of a frosty start to the year. The 21-year-old prodigy possesses excellent bat-to-ball skills, which should lead to high batting averages in Colorado, and is starting to show some additional over-the-fence pop.     Cubs manager Craig Counsell told reporters Saturday that Nico Hoerner has been diagnosed with a small fracture in his right hand.

    Advice: Counsell added that team doctors are comfortable with Hoerner returning to action if the pain and swelling subside in his right hand.     Swanson went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Friday's 3-2 loss to the Reds.

    Advice: The shortstop took Nick Lodolo deep in the sixth inning, but the Cubs were already in a 3-0 hole at that point. Swanson is beginning to show faint signs of life at the plate -- while he's batting just .233 (7-for-30) over the last eight games, four of those hits have gone for extra bases, including two of his six homers on the year.
