      Advice: Beeks was given his first save opportunity since June 5 but couldn't come through for his seventh save of the campaign. Colorado led 1-0 heading into the ninth inning, but Beeks yielded an RBI double to Lane Thomas that plated CJ Abrams -- who advanced to second on a wild pitch -- before allowing Thomas to steal third and score on a two-out single by Joey Meneses.       Advice: After blowing the save Saturday night, Finnegan was able to convert for his 22nd save of the campaign Sunday. However, he flirted with danger as Ryan McMahon and Brendan Rodgers hit back-to-back singles to start the final half-inning. Finnegan kept the game-tying run at second and retired three straight to close out the contest. The 32-year-old trails only Ryan Helsley and Emmanuel Clase for the most saves in baseball.       Urena picked up the save Sunday against Kansas City, allowing one hit and one walk with one strikeout across four scoreless innings.

      Advice: The Rangers needed only two pitchers Sunday, with Max Scherzer handling the first five frames before giving way to Urena for the final 12 outs. The save was Urena's first since 2019 and just the fifth of his nine-year MLB career. While the 32-year-old allowed two baserunners, he faced only 12 batters as Maikel Garcia got caught stealing in the sixth and Nelson Velazquez grounded into a double play in the eighth.       Advice: Marsh tied his season high in hits allowed Sunday and failed to complete six innings for the fourth time in his last five starts. While he didn't surrender a home run, the Rangers did tag Marsh for three doubles. All three runs against Marsh came in the fourth inning, when he allowed three straight hits to open the frame before yielding a two-out, two-RBI single to Leody Taveras. After posting a 4-2 record and a 3.24 ERA across his first nine starts, Marsh has put up a 6.66 ERA with a 1-3 record in June.       Herrin (3-0) struck out one in a perfect inning and earned the win Sunday over the Blue Jays.

      Advice: A rain delay cut Triston McKenzie's start short at three innings, though he threw 74 pitches and likely wasn't going to last long enough to qualify for the win. Herrin was once again excellent in relief -- he's allowed just one run over 7.1 innings in June. The southpaw has a 1.16 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 29:12 K:BB over 31 innings while adding eight holds and two blown saves.       Assad (4-3) allowed four runs on seven hits and a walk while failing to record a strikeout over 4.1 innings, taking the loss Sunday versus the Mets.

      Advice: Assad has failed to complete five innings in four of his last nine starts. The Mets did most of their damage in the third inning, as Francisco Lindor and Brandon Nimmo hit back-to-back home runs to account for three of the four runs on Assad's line. The right-hander is now at a 3.04 ERA, 1.28 WHIP and 79:33 K:BB through 83 innings across 16 starts this year. He's projected for a road game in Milwaukee in his next start.       Diekman struck out the only batter he faced to earn the save in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

      Advice: The ninth inning was far more dramatic than usual for a team protecting a three-run lead. Edwin Diaz was ejected after failing an inspection for sticky substances before he threw a pitch, and Drew Smith got two outs before putting Dansby Swanson aboard with a single. Diekman came into the game and closed it out by fanning Patrick Wisdom on three pitches. Pitching as a part-time setup man, Diekman has a 3.80 ERA, 1.27 WHIP and 29:18 K:BB with three saves, six holds and two blown saves over 23.2 innings this year. With Diaz facing a 10-game suspension, it'll likely be Reed Garrett and Adam Ottavino picking up most of the save chances in the near term, though Diekman and Smith could also be in the mix depending on the situation as manager Carlos Mendoza will likely turn to a committee approach.       Advice: Nunez had not pitched since June 15 due to a sinus infection, and he wasn't very sharp after a whole week off. The right-hander served up a two-run home run to Christopher Morel, but that was all the Cubs could muster.
