    • Jordan Westburg homers in win over Reds
Jordan Westburg went 1-for-5 with a two-run home run in a win over the Reds on Sunday.

Advice: Westburg jumped on Nick Lodolo in the first inning with a 378-foot home run that left the bat at 101.9 mph. It was Westburg’s sixth home run of the season to go along with 23 RBIs. It’s been a breakout month for the 25-year-old, but he’s seen his triple slash fall to .286/.336/.513 after going 6-for-28 over his last seven games. The quality of contact gains are real but Westburg is swinging and missing a lot more this season, so the batting average may continue to slip a little bit in the coming weeks. • Returns from IL
The Yankees reinstated Berti (groin) from the injured list Saturday.

Advice: Berti will return to the active roster after playing in three rehab games at Double-A Somerset, going 1-for-9 with three walks and a run scored while also stealing a base. His return gives New York additional depth at numerous positions and will cause Taylor Trammell to be designated for assignment in order to create a roster spot. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:13 am

    • Yankees activate Berti (groin) off injured list
Yankees activated INF Jon Berti off the 10-day injured list.

Advice: Berti is back to provide a bench option for the Yankees after missing three weeks with his left adductor strain. To make room, New York designated Taylor Trammell for assignment. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:07 am

    • Resumes rehab assignment
Berti (groin/back) is back in the lineup with Double-A Somerset on Thursday as he resumes his rehab assignment, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: Berti couldn't play Wednesday due to a back issue but is back in there following a one-day absence. He's coming back from a groin strain and should rejoin the Yankees within the next few days. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:49 am

    • Collects three hits Wednesday
Betts went 3-for-5 with two RBI against the Diamondbacks in Wednesday's 8-0 victory.

Advice: Betts hasn't homered over his past 17 games, but he continues to be productive, collecting seven multi-hit efforts over that stretch while slashing .406/.481/.536. The move to shortstop this season hasn't impacted the All-Star's offensive production, as Betts is leading MLB in hits (49) and OBP (.481) while tying for first in runs (29) and walks (26). Betts' 1.104 OPS also leads all major-leaguers. Rotowire.com Thursday, 10:33 am

    • Held out with back issue
Manager Aaron Boone said Berti (groin) won't play in a scheduled rehab game with Double-A Somerset on Wednesday after his back locked up on him, Gary Phillips of the New York Daily News reports.

Advice: The hope is that it's only a one-day absence for Berti, but that wouldn't seem to be a given. He's played two games with Somerset already as he comes back from a groin strain. Berti had potentially been looking at a return from the 10-day injured list this weekend, but that might be delayed now. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 1:51 pm

    • Jon Berti (back) won’t play rehab game Wednesday
Yankees’ manager Aaron Boone told reporters that Jon Berti (groin) won’t play in his scheduled minor league rehab game on Wednesday due to tightness in his back.

Advice: Boone termed it a precautionary measure and said that they were hopeful Berti would be able to return to the lineup on Thursday. He’s probably going to need a couple more games before he’s ready to rejoin the Yankees, but if all goes well we could see him in Pinstripes at some point next week. Rotoworld Wednesday, 1:46 pm

    • Steal, two RBI in loss
India went 1-for-4 with a stolen base and two RBI in Tuesday's 6-4 loss to the Padres.

Advice: India delivered a two-run single in the sixth inning then put himself in scoring position with his third steal of the season. He took a turn at cleanup -- his first time this season -- as the Reds continue to work around the absence of primary cleanup hitter Christian Encarnacion-Strand (hand). India is 9-for-23 (.391) over six games since returning from an illness that cost him four days. Rotowire.com Wednesday, 4:29 am

    • Pops first homer Tuesday
Gimenez went 2-for-5 with a two-run home run and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 10-9 extra-inning loss to the Astros.

Advice: Gimenez started the Guardians' comeback with a two-run blast in the sixth inning. The second baseman has logged three straight multi-hit efforts following a recent 0-for-11 skid. For the season, he's slashing .280/.347/.374 with one homer, 17 RBI, 17 runs scored, four stolen bases, five doubles and a triple over 122 plate appearances. He continues to see a starting role and frequently bats second in the lineup against right-handers. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:48 pm
