    • Joins big club
The Mets selected Festa's contract from Triple-A Syracuse on Sunday.

Advice: Festa joined the Mets on a minor-league contract in May after being released from his minors deal with the Padres. The right-hander will receive a look in the big leagues after he posted a 1.76 ERA in 11 outings with Syracuse. Rotowire.com Sunday, 8:48 am

    • Grabs 11th save
Sewald struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Sewald has picked up saves in four straight appearances and in seven of his 10 outings in June. The closer has been virtually untouchable this month, allowing two hits, two walks and two hit batsmen while striking out six over 8.2 innings. He's a perfect 11-for-11 in save chances with a 0.57 ERA, 0.51 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB across 15.2 innings overall. Rotowire.com Saturday, 6:28 pm
    • Sewald picks up 11th save against Athletics
Paul Sewald tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Sewald’s save was his 11th of the season. He retired the Athletics in order in the ninth inning while recording one strikeout. Sewald hasn’t been scored on in his last 16 appearances this year. Rotoworld Saturday, 3:32 pm
    • Liam Henriks (elbow) throws another bullpen session
Liam Henriks (elbow) threw a 20-pitch bullpen session on Friday.

Advice: There’s some growing optimism that Hendriks might be able to give the Red Sox something in the later stages of the year, especially if they remain in the playoff chase. The 35-year-old veteran stopper is coming off Tommy John surgery and there’s little incentive for Boston to rush him back too quickly and risk a setback. However, he’s making steady progress at the moment. Rotoworld Saturday, 11:51 am

    • Throws 20 pitches in bullpen Friday
Hendriks (elbow) threw a second bullpen session Friday, Jen McCaffrey of The Athletic reports.

Advice: All 20 of Hendriks' pitches Friday were fastballs, and the right-hander noted Saturday that three more bullpen sessions are planned next week. The 35-year-old is working his way back from Tommy John surgery last August, and he is aiming to return to the majors before the end of the regular season. In his last full season in 2022 as a member of the White Sox, Hendriks registered a 2.81 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 85:16 K:BB across 57.2 innings. Rotowire.com Saturday, 10:59 am

    • Blows save, grabs win Friday
Doval (3-1) allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over over inning, blowing a save but earning the win Friday over the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval allowed a triple to Andy Pages, who came home on a Jason Heyward sacrifice fly that tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning. The Giants then got a walk-off home run from Brett Wisely to make Doval the pitcher of record despite his poor outing. He's given up nine runs over nine innings in June, though a pair of four-run meltdowns account for much of that damage. He hasn't been dominant this season with a 4.55 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 39:21 K:BB while converting 14 of 17 save chances over 31.2 innings. Rotowire.com Friday, 10:24 pm
    • Camilo Doval blows save, still gets win vs. LAD
Camilo Doval gave up a run and blew a save Friday, but picked up the win against the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval gets the win because the stat is flawless and baseball is a fair and just sport. The right-hander gave up a triple to James Outman, and a sac fly from Jason Heyward tied the game at 3-3. That’s the third blown save of the year for Doval, who has provided more good than bad for fantasy managers in 2024 despite his 4.55 ERA. Rotoworld Friday, 10:11 pm
    • Michael Kopech earns second save in two days
Michael Kopech pitched a hitless ninth inning against the Rockies for his seventh save Friday.

Advice: Kopech has saves on back-to-back days after going nearly six weeks without one. It’s good to see, but it does mean he’ll be of Saturday, perhaps creating a save opportunity for Steven Wilson. John Brebbia has also pitched back-to-back days, so he probably won’t be an option. • Bags seventh save
Kopech earned the save in Friday's 5-3 win over the Rockies, pitching a scoreless inning and working around a walk.

Advice: The 28-year-old entered the ninth with a two-run lead and looked to immediately be in danger, as he opened with six-pitch walk to Ryan McMahon. However, Kopech induced two consecutive groudouts, including one of the double-play variety, to escape with just his second save in June. The Chicago right-hander lowered his season ERA to 4.46 over 34.1 innings, as he appears to have seized control of the closer's role over John Brebbia for the time being. Rotowire.com Friday, 9:20 pm
