      Vasquez (forearm) has been cleared to make his next start Friday versus the Diamondbacks in San Diego, Kevin Acee of The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

      Advice: In his most recent start in Friday's 9-2 win over the Mets, Vasquez took a no-decision after he was lifted after 59 pitches and four innings when he was struck in the right forearm by a comebacker. Follow-up X-rays cleared Vasquez of any structural damage to his forearm, and he's been cleared to make his next start after he played catch Sunday without incident. Since returning from Triple-A El Paso on June 1 and rejoining the big-league rotation, Vasquez has gone 2-1 with a 4.20 ERA, 1.60 WHIP and 19:9 K:BB in 30 innings spanning six starts.       Dubin threw 3.1 scoreless innings, walking three and striking out two in Sunday's win over the Mets.

      Advice: Dubin started a bullpen game for the Astros and turned in his longest outing of the season. Though he didn't generate many strikeouts, he was able to keep the Mets off balance with 12 called strikes on only 55 total pitches. Dubin entered the appearance having given up four earned runs across his last 4.1 innings (three appearances), and he recorded his first scoreless effort since June 12.       Bivens (2-1) was the pitcher of record in Sunday's 10-4 win over the Dodgers, striking out three over five innings while allowing one earned run on four hits and no walks.

      Advice: Thrust into the rotation for his first MLB start, Bivens rolled through four shutout frames before coughing up a solo shot to Chris Taylor in the fifth inning. Since he was pitching on just two days' rest, Bivens wasn't expected to work especially deep into Sunday's outing, but he was efficient enough (41 strikes on 60 pitches) to cover five innings and qualify for the win. With the Giants designating de facto No. 5 starter Spencer Howard for assignment prior to Sunday's game, Bivens could stick around in the rotation until the likes of Kyle Harrison (ankle) and Blake Snell (groin) return from the injured list.       Helsley struck out two batters in a perfect ninth inning to earn the save over Cincinnati on Sunday.

      Advice: Helsley efficiently rolled through the Reds' 2-3-4 hitters with just 10 pitches. He extended his MLB save lead and became the first pitcher in the 2024 season to reach 30 saves. He's converted those 30 saves consecutively after blowing his first opportunity of the year March 30. Helsley is sporting a 2.61 ERA with a 46:16 K:BB through 38 innings.       Spencer Bivens struck out three over five innings of one-run ball on Sunday in a win over the Dodgers.

      Advice: Bivens flummoxed Los Angeles’ star-studded lineup for four frames in his first career start, and also got plenty of run support from San Francisco’s lineup, which put up nine runs on 12 hits through four frames to open the contest. A one-out solo shot from Chris Taylor in the fifth inning represented the lone tally against him in this one. It was an impressive showing for the unheralded 30-year-old journeyman who holds a stellar 2.57 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 14/4 K/BB ratio across 14 innings (six appearances, one start). No guarantees yet, but Bivens is in line to face the Guardians on Saturday, and represents an increasingly intriguing streaming option for fantasy managers in deeper mixed leagues.
