    • Alexiz Díaz converts 11th straight save chanceg
Alexis Díaz worked a scoreless ninth for his 17th save Friday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Díaz has converted 10 straight save chances, even though he’s had a few hiccups during the run. His 5.08 ERA and 29/19 K/BB ratio in 28 1/3 innings still don’t inspire a ton of confidence, but things are certainly looking up from a few weeks ago. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:41 pm

    • Kutter Crawford gives up three homers in loss
Kutter Crawford surrendered five runs — three earned — in 6 1/3 innings Friday in a loss to the Reds.

Advice: Crawford surrendered three homers tonight, bringing his total allowed to seven in his last three starts. He’s given up at least one in seven straight outings. Odds are that Crawford will bounce back from this, but he’s never been more than a fringy mixed-league option in a bad situation for pitchers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:40 pm
    • Converts 14th save
Estevez struck out two in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 3-2 extra-inning win over the Dodgers.

Advice: Estevez has not put a runner on base over his last eight innings, striking out eight and earning seven saves and a win in that span. A groundout moved the initial runner to third base in the 10th inning, but Estevez struck out the next two batters to protect the one-run lead. He's now 14-for-17 in save chances with a 3.38 ERA, 0.83 WHIP and 25:3 K:BB over 24 innings. This is arguably the best Estevez has ever looked in the majors, which will boost his trade value, though he's unlikely to be a primary closer on a different team if a deal comes to fruition. • Takes blown save, loss
Duran (3-3) allowed two runs on two hits and struck out one over one inning, taking the loss and a blown save versus the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Duran served up a two-run home run to Shea Langeliers after being called upon to pitch in a high-leverage situation in the eighth inning. This was Duran's first blown save of the year -- he's converted 11 saves and added four holds over 24 appearances. The closer has a 3.91 ERA, 1.04 WHIP and 21:8 K:BB through 23 innings overall. • Can't complete five innings
Paddack allowed three runs on five hits and three walks while striking out three over 4.2 innings in a no-decision versus the Athletics on Friday.

Advice: Paddack again struggled against the Athletics, though it wasn't as bad as his last start, in which he allowed five runs over 2.1 innings. The right-hander has a poor 5.29 ERA, 1.43 WHIP and 70:18 K:BB over 78.1 innings through 15 starts this season. He's projected to make his next start on the road in Arizona, though he hasn't pitched well enough to draw much positive attention in fantasy. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:22 pm

    • Clean inning for save
Miller struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Friday's 6-5 win over the Twins.

Advice: Shea Langeliers put the Athletics ahead in the eighth inning, and Miller was able to slam the door in the ninth. Miller hasn't been charged with a run over his last 4.2 innings while posting a 5:2 K:BB in that span. The closer is up to 14 saves with a 2.08 ERA, 0.81 WHIP and 60:13 K:BB over 34.2 innings this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:15 pm

    • Bounces back with quality start
Estes allowed two runs on five hits and a walk while striking out one over six innings in a no-decision versus the Twins on Friday.

Advice: Estes was tagged for six runs over 2.2 innings in his previous start at Minnesota, but he responded with his second quality start in eight outings this season. The downside was his single strikeout, which was a season low for the right-hander. He's now at a 5.53 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 31:10 K:BB over 40.2 innings. Estes is projected to make his next start on the road versus the Angels. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:13 pm

    • Enyel De Los Santos gets five-out save vs. Brewers
Enyel De Los Santos got the final five outs to get a save against the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: De Los Santos entered when the score was 8-5, so even though the Padres ended up winning by four, it’s still a save situation for the 28-year-old. It’s the first of the season for the right-hander, and it’s unlikely he sees many more chances going forward. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:00 pm
    • Dylan Cease strikes out 10, allows four runs vs. MIL
Dylan Cease allowed four runs in 4 2/3 innings in a no-decision with 10 strikeouts against the Brewers on Friday.

Advice: Cease needed 106 pitches to get the 14 outs, so he wasn’t able to get the final out needed to qualify for a win. The right-hander did at least help with the punchouts, and he’s now struck out 116 in his 91 1/3 innings in his first year with the Padres. Cease has scuffled in June, and will try and be more efficient — while still missing bats — against the Nationals on Wednesday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:00 pm
