      Anderson (5-5) got stuck with the loss against the Yankees on Wednesday, allowing one run on four hits and six walks over five innings. He struck out four.

      Advice: Anderson allowed three batters to reach base in each of the first two frames but somehow managed to pitch his way around it and avoid sustaining any damage. However, the lefty would finally cough up a run in the fourth after leaving a sinker up in the zone, which Alex Verdugo proceeded to crush over the wall in right field. Anderson issued a season-high six free passes on the night and has now walked multiple batters in three consecutive starts.       Allen (6-3) took the loss against the Rockies on Wednesday, allowing seven runs on six hits and two walks over 1.2 innings while striking out one.

      Advice: Allen gave up one run on an infield single in the opening frame before getting obliterated in the second inning, beginning with a single from Elehuris Montero and ending with an RBI double from Elias Diaz. The lefty was then relieved by Eli Morgan with just two outs in the frame, marking his shortest outing of the season. It was actually Allen's second time this month in which he allowed seven runs in a start, while the loss also snapped a streak of three consecutive wins for the second-year pitcher.       George Kirby allowed one run with eight strikeouts over six innings in a no-decision against the Astros on Wednesday.

      Advice: After giving up five runs in back-to-back outings, Kirby put together an excellent start against the Astros. Three hits in the fourth would bring the only run across to score for Houston. Kirby scattered three other hits and did not walk a batter, striking out eight over his six innings of work. The 26-year-old right-hander will take a 4.08 ERA, 1.02 WHIP, and a 65/6 K/BB ratio across 68 1/3 innings into a start against the Athletics in Oakland on Tuesday.     • Tyler Anderson issues six walks in loss to Yankees
      Tyler Anderson allowed one run with four strikeouts across five innings in a loss to the Yankees on Wednesday.

      Advice: Anderson was fortunate to give up just the one run as he battled control issues against the Yankees, allowing six free passes. He walked the bases loaded in the first inning, but was able to escape the jam with a pop out double play and a groundout. Anderson worked around two more hits and a walk in the second. The Yankees would finally get a run in with a solo homer by Alex Verdugo in the fourth. Anderson would pitch a scoreless fifth, again working around a pair of walks, before his day was done at 95 pitches.     • Logan Allen hit for seven runs in loss to Rockies
      Logan Allen allowed seven runs over 1 2/3 innings in a loss to the Rockies in Wednesday.

      Advice: Allen gave up a run on a walk and a base hit in the first inning. He then could not escape the second as the Rockies brought six more runs in to score, including a two-run homer by Brendan Rodgers, chasing Allen from the game with two outs at 59 pitches. The 25-year-old left-hander ends the day with a 5.83 ERA, 1.55 WHIP, and a 51/20 K/BB ratio across 58 2/3 innings. Allen is in line for a start against the Royals in Cleveland next Wednesday.       Luzardo (2-4) took the loss Tuesday against the Marlins, allowing three runs on seven hits and two walks while striking out four in six innings.

      Advice: Luzardo managed to reach six innings for a third consecutive start, but never had a shot for a win after the Marlins were shut out. The Padres quickly got to him in the first with a two-run blast from Jurickson Profar and then Profar notched another RBI in the fifth. It was the first time Luzardo has allowed runs in the opening frame this season.       Jesús Luzardo lost Tuesday after allowing three runs in six innings against the Padres.

      Advice: Even a third straight scoreless outing wouldn’t have gotten Luzardo a win tonight, as the Marlins were shut out by the Padres. At this point, Luzardo is just playing out the string until an inevitable midseason trade. He’ll take a 2-4 record and a 4.18 ERA into his next start versus the Rays.       Kodai Senga (shoulder) played catch on the field prior to the doubleheader against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

      Advice: It’s the first time that Senga has been able to play catch since he was shut down with inflammation in his triceps. The right-hander has been on the 60-day injured list since the start of the season because of shoulder issues, and the expectation now is that Senga won’t be able to return for the Mets — and fantasy players — until around the All-Star break.       Senga (shoulder) may not be ready to return from the 60-day injured list until after the All-Star break, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: The right-hander has had a couple delays and setbacks during his recovery from a posterior right capsule strain. After getting a cortisone injection late last week, Senga played catch on flat ground for the first time Tuesday, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Still, the 31-year-old is essentially back to square one with his throwing program. Given that Senga will likely need about six weeks to ramp back up and get game ready, a mid-July return would seem to be the best-case scenario.
