      Advice: Mullins grounded into a fielder's choice play in his first at-bat before going on to steal second and third and eventually coming home for Baltimore's first run of the contest. He would add a single and come around to score for a second time during a four-run fourth inning for the Orioles and finished the night with two hits for only the second time this month.       Guerrero went 2-for-5 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

      Advice: Guerrero went hitless in his first three at-bats before sending Danny Jansen to third with a double in the top of the eighth, eventually leading to both runners coming home during a three-run inning for Toronto. The first baseman wasn't done there, however, adding a two-run homer in the following frame as the Blue Jays blew out the Tigers. It marked Guerrero's seventh multi-hit game this month, where he's now batting .371 with two homers, 13 RBI and 12 runs scored. The long ball was his first since May 5 against the Nationals.       Tommy Pham went 3-for-4 with a double, a walk, two runs scored and an RBI against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Pham continues to produce out of the leadoff spot for Chicago. His average is up to .333 on the season. He’s been one of the best pickups of the season considering he started the year without a team.

      Vladimir Guerrero Jr. went 2-for-5 with a double, two runs scored and a two-run home run against the Tigers on Thursday.

      Advice: Guerrero Jr. scored on a Justin Turner double in the eighth inning and then homered in a 7-1 game in the ninth. The home run was his fifth of the season and he now has 24 RBI. Guerrero Jr. is up to .282 with a .799 OPS this year. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:26 pm

      Edmundo Sosa went 3-for-4 in a win Thursday over the Rangers.

      Advice: Sosa hasn’t gotten much attention in 2024, but it’s probably time for that to change. The three-hit afternoon pushes the 28-year-old’s average up to .323, and he’s slugging .548 to show he’s not just dinking-and-dunking the baseball.       Advice: TJ Friedl is back to hitting off flips as he works back from a broken thumb. Once he is able to take batting practice, his next step will likely be live at-bats and a rehab assignment.       Friedl (thumb) has progressed to hitting flipped balls in the batting cage and hopes to be cleared to take batting practice soon, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports.

      Advice: Friedl is making a rapid recovery from a fractured left thumb, an injury he suffered just 11 days ago. If the outfielder is able to take batting practice soon, a brief rehab assignment should follow shortly after. He would appear on track for an early June return from the 10-day injured list.     • Struggles again Wednesday
      Miller (3-5) allowed five runs on five hits and struck out four without walking a batter over six innings, taking the loss versus the Yankees on Wednesday.

      Advice: Miller's last two starts, on the road versus the Orioles and Yankees, have shown that he still has some work to do against elite offenses. He was done in by the long ball Wednesday -- Aaron Judge tagged him for a two-run home run in the first inning and Juan Soto went deep twice in the contest. Miller has allowed multiple homers in four of his 10 starts this season, giving up a total of 10 long balls. The right-hander has a 3.53 ERA, 0.97 WHIP and 56:16 K:BB over 58.2 innings. His next start is projected to be at home versus the Astros. Miller gave up four runs on six hits, including two homers and one walk over six innings in a May 5 start at Houston.
