      Advice: Munoz continued what is turning into his best stretch of pitching this season, locating eight of his 11 pitches for strikes on his way to his ninth scoreless effort in the last 10 appearances, including his fifth straight. The right-hander has whittled his ERA and WHIP to 2.03 and 1.13, respectively, and he'd also recorded saves in three consecutive appearances before Sunday's victory.     • Report: Tanner Scott could be next Marlin traded
      According to Buster Olney, sources told him that Tanner Scott is “the guy on their roster you’d look at” but Josh Bell could also interest teams as well.

      Advice: After the Marlins traded Luis Arraez this weekend, assuming a firesale would follow was only logical. Scott was electric as the closer for the Marlins last year, but has seen some control issues resurface this season. He has a 2.77 ERA and four saves, but he also has 14 walks in 13 innings. If he were to be traded, he would likely serve as a setup man, and the Marlins could turn back to A.J. Puk in the closer’s role which means Puk could be worth a speculative add in leagues.       Sewald (oblique) said Sunday that he responded well to Saturday's inning of work in an extended spring training game, Alex Weiner of Arizona Sports reports. "I haven't felt anything in 10 days now," Sewald said.

      Advice: Following the encouraging news, Sewald plans to travel with the team to Cincinnati, where he could be activated for Tuesday's series opener against the Reds. He opened the season on the injured list and paused rehab is rehab after an appearance April 23. He downplayed the pause and was reticent to call it a setback; instead, Sewald chalked it up to panic and wanted a re-imaging to ease his mind.       Advice: Assad scattered baserunners throughout his start but never faced any heavy threats. He's allowed two or fewer runs in each of his first seven outings of 2024, but Sunday's performance was his first quality start since his season debut April 2. Assad dropped his season ERA to 1.66 with a 31:12 K:BB through 38 innings. He failed to factor into the decision in his previous three starts despite registering a 1.76 ERA over that span. Despite the scoreless effort, the Pirates' stopper has allowed at least one run in seven of his 15 appearances this season. Pirate fans and fantasy managers alike hope these last two performances against the listless Rockies will serve as a momentum boost for Bednar, who entered the season as one of the top closers in baseball.       Javier Assad delivered a strong performance in Sunday afternoon’s victory over the Brewers, scattering just four hits over six innings of shutout baseball.

      Advice: The 26-year-old right-hander struck out four batters while issuing three free passes in the ballgame. The Brewers never really mounted a serious scoring threat against him, and he was able to cruise to an easy victory in this one.       Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters Sunday that the team is hopeful that Evan Phillips (hamstring) will only have a minimum stay on the injured list.

      Advice: Phillips was diagnosed with a Grade 1 hamstring strain and placed on the injured list before Sunday’s game against Atlanta. The right-hander will miss at least two weeks, but it doesn’t sound like a (relatively) long-term injury for the 29-year-old closer.
