    • Throwing live BP Monday
Gallen (hamstring) is expected to throw a live batting practice session Monday, Steve Gilbert of MLB.com reports.

Advice: It was reported last week that Gallen would throw a simulated game early this week, but it looks like he'll throw a live BP session instead. If all goes well, the right-hander could be activated in time for the series against Oakland that begins Friday. Gallen has thrown one sim game already followed by a pair of bullpen sessions. • Comes up clutch
Thomas went 1-for-4 with an RBI double, a run scored and a stolen base during Sunday's 2-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: Thomas spearheaded the Nationals' comeback, plating CJ Abrams with a game-tying double and then stealing third before scoring the go-ahead run on a Joey Meneses single. Thomas has generated a run and an RBI in four consecutive games, going 7-for-19 with a pair of doubles, a triple and a home run during that stretch. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:44 pm

    • Homer, steal in win
Lindor went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run, a hit-by-pitch and a stolen base in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Cubs.

Advice: Lindor opened the scoring with his third-inning blast. The shortstop has been showcasing all of his skills in June, going 21-for-76 (.276) with four homers, five steals and 10 RBI over 19 contests this month. It's a strong turnaround for the 30-year-old, who is slashing .241/.310/.433 with 13 homers, 39 RBI, 49 runs scored, 20 doubles and 13 steals through 76 games overall. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:16 pm
    • Francisco Lindor homers, swipes bag to lead Mets
Francisco Lindor clobbered a two-run homer and stole a base on Sunday night, helping to lead the Mets to a 5-2 victory over the Cubs in Chicago.

Advice: Lindor opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 378-foot (101.4 mph EV) two-run blast after an eight-pitch battle with Javier Assad in the third inning. He was also hit by a pitch in the fifth inning and swiped second base before getting stranded at third. The 30-year-old shortstop finished the evening 1-for-4 and is now hitting .241/.310/.433 with 13 homers, 39 RBI and 13 stolen bases on the season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:22 pm
    • Lane Thomas has SB, game-tying RBI
Lane Thomas went 1-for-4 with an RBI and a steal in a win over the Rockies on Sunday.

Advice: Thomas had been hitless before doubling off Jalen Beeks in the ninth inning to tie the game at 1-1. He then stole third and came around to score on a single by Joey Meneses. Thomas got off to a slow start, but he has been good since coming off the IL, hitting .295/.341/.564 in June with five home runs, 17 RBI, 16 runs scored, and two steals. Congratulations if you were able to buy low while he was hurt. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:51 pm

    • Labors in rehab start
Snell (groin) made a rehab start Sunday with Triple-A Sacramento, allowing two runs on three hits and three walks while failing to strike out a batter across 1.2 innings.

Advice: Snell wasn't particularly effective in the first start of his rehab assignment, throwing just 27 of his 51 pitches for strikes in a 5-4 win over Round Rock. Following the contest, the left-hander said he anticipates needing at least one more rehab appearance, if not more, stating that he wants to be "healthy and 100 percent" before he returns from the 15-day injured list, according to Shayna Rubin of the San Francisco Chronicle. Snell had been limited to just six starts in his first season with the Giants before landing on the 15-day injured list June 3 with a left groin strain. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:15 pm

    • Blake Snell chased in second inning of rehab start
Blake Snell (groin) struggled in his first minor league rehab start at Triple-A Sacramento on Sunday, giving up two runs on three hits and three walks over just 1 2/3 innings.

Advice: None of the five outs that the 31-year-old southpaw did record came via the strikeout. Snell threw 51 pitches in contest, 27 of those for strikes. The expectation was always that Snell would require at least two rehab starts before he was ready to return, and given his struggles on Sunday it’s likely that they’ll want to see better before they bring him back. • Starling Marte out Sunday with ongoing knee issue
Starling Marte (knee) is not in the lineup for Sunday night’s showdown against the Cubs.

Advice: New York’s front office hasn’t made a roster move yet, so it doesn’t sound like Marte is ticketed for the injured list after leaving Saturday’s game with right knee soreness. The 35-year-old veteran outfielder will get some extra time off to rest and recover from the lingering issue and is presumably day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:33 pm

    • Sitting out third straight
Kepler (neck) isn't in the Twins' lineup for Sunday's game against Oakland.

Advice: Neck spasms will cause Kepler to miss his third game in a row Sunday, though he still doesn't seem to be trending toward a trip to the injured list. Manuel Margot will pick up another start in right field and bat leadoff. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:25 am
