  • Ty France homers as Mariners outlast Royals
Ty France went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in a victory over the Royals on Monday.

Advice: France turned a 4-2 cushion into a 6-2 lead with a two-run shot in the eighth inning. The infielder hasn’t hit for much power in 2024, but that does give him three homers and 13 RBI. France has been known to go on hot streaks, but fantasy managers just can’t bet on enough consistent production to add him to a lineup. Rotoworld 7 minutes ago
  • Luke Raley homers, plates three in win over Royals
Luke Raley homered, drove in three runs and stole a base Monday in a 6-2 win over the Royals.

Advice: Raley has been excellent in May, and this was easily his best game in a Mariner uniform. The outfielder scored a two-run homer off Brady Singer in the second inning, and he drove in another with an RBI single in the third. The outfielder also stole his second base of the season, and he’s athletic enough to project more if he can continue to get on base. At this point, it sure seems likely that Raley is going to see much more consistent playing time than he did to begin the year. Rotoworld 7 minutes ago
  • Manzardo hitless again Monday
Kyle Manzardo went 0-for-2 with a walk in the Guardians win over the Rangers on Monday.

Advice: Manzardo is now 3-for-19 (.158) with one walk, one double and eight strikeouts to start his big league career. With a left-handed reliever on the mound in the eighth inning, Manzardo was pinch hit for. He should continue to see starts against right-handed pitchers for the rest of the week, but at some point he needs to start stringing some hits together. Rotoworld 25 minutes ago
  • Belts grand slam
Bauers went 2-for-4 with a grand slam in Monday's loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Bauers cut Pittsburgh's lead to 7-6 with his eighth-inning grand slam but it wasn't enough to complete the comeback. He now has four home runs this season and two in his last four appearances. He's gone 8-for-22 (.364) with nine RBI so far in May. Bauers owns a .244/.326/.476 slash line with 10 extra-base hits and 21 RBI this season. Rotowire.com Today, 8:19 pm
  • Headed for MRI
Hoskins will undergo an MRI on his hamstring Tuesday morning, Todd Rosiak of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Hoskins left Monday's series opener with a hamstring injury, but the severity of the issue remains unclear. Milwaukee should have a better idea of his availability going forward after reviewing Hoskins' test results. Rotowire.com Today, 8:09 pm
  • Goes deep again Monday
Torkelson went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run in Monday's 6-5 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After going the first 37 games of the season without launching any home runs, Torkelson has now blasted off in consecutive contests. Both home runs were two-run shots, and the 24-year-old could certainly keep it going, as he's shown the ability to hit long balls in bunches. Torkelson recorded a career-best 31 home runs last year, to go along with 94 RBI. Rotowire.com Today, 7:02 pm
  • Losing work to Soderstrom
Davis remains out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Davis has now started just once in the Athletics' last five games, as he's seemingly moved into the short side of a platoon with the lefty-hitting Tyler Soderstrom, who has recently taken over as the team's primary first baseman. The 31-year-old has supplied a career-worst .586 OPS over 83 plate appearances this season, and the non-contending Athletics don't have much incentive to give him regular playing time while he's struggling to produce. • Sitting against righty again
Nevin is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Astros.

Advice: Nevin is on the bench for the fourth time in seven games, with each of those absences coming against right-handed pitching. With both Brett Harris and Tyler Soderstrom having settled into everyday roles at the corner-infield spots, the right-handed-hitting Nevin looks like he'll be limited to short-side platoon duties for the time being. • Back on bench Monday
Joe is out of the lineup for Monday's game against the Brewers.

Advice: Joe isn't quite an everyday player for the Pirates, but he's been one of the more productive hitters in a struggling lineup this season and is gradually starting to earn steadier playing time versus right-handed pitching. He'll take a seat against Brewers righty Colin Rea in the series opener in Milwaukee, however, as the Pirates trot out a starting outfield of Bryan Reynolds, Michael Taylor and Jack Suwinski from left to right. Meanwhile, Rowdy Tellez will draw the start at first base and Andrew McCutchen will serve as Pittsburgh's designated hitter. Rotowire.com Today, 3:16 pm
