    Advice: Ahmed was pulled off of his rehab assignment after his first game June 1 due to a setback with his sprained left wrist. The shortstop is rehabbing alongside Marco Luciano (hamstring), though there's no guarantee either player will have a starting job waiting for them once cleared to return to the majors.     Advice: This game marked the beginning of Luciano's rehab assignment after he landed on the injured list May 31. The infielder played second base for Sacramento with Nick Ahmed (wrist) also on a rehab assignment and occupying shortstop. Given the timeline of those two players rehabbing together, it's possible Luciano may stay at Triple-A once healthy, as the Giants likely value Brett Wisely's versatility a bit more for the major-league roster.     Advice: The first double was a mile-high, 332-foot fly down the left field line that Michael Conforto just decided not to bother running after. To be fair, Dubón didn’t run out of the box either, apparently thinking it’d be foul. It wasn’t, and it bounced over the wall for an automatic double after landing on the warning track.     Mateo went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 4-0 win over Atlanta.

    Advice: Mateo missed just over a week due to a concussion, and he provided a big blast in his first at-bat back from the injured list. His second-inning homer ended up being plenty of offense for Baltimore in this contest. Mateo his .246 over the 20 games prior to his absence, and he's at a .248/.295/.470 slash line with four homers, 16 RBI, 20 runs scored and 10 stolen bases through 43 contests overall. While he started at shortstop Tuesday to give Gunnar Henderson a breather, Mateo's playing time will likely be primarily at second base moving forward, which will push Jordan Westburg over to third and Ramon Urias back into a utility role.     Advice: The steal was López’s fifth on the season, and the 25-year-old is hitting .293/.321/.414 in 36 games for Miami in 2024. He has emerged as the regular second baseman and has posted solid batting averages during his minor league career, which suggests he could be a viable deep league option as a middle infielder with a good average and chip-in home runs and steals.     Ezequiel Tovar launched a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Rockies’ win over the Twins.

The 408-foot blast marked Tovar’s 11th homer of the season and pushed his RBI total to 31 on the year.
