      Luis Rengifo hit a two-run homer in the Angels’ win Friday over the Tigers.

      Advice: Rengifo gave the Angels a 2-0 lead in the first inning with a two-run swat off Kenta Maeda. Those would be the only runs the Angels would pick up off Maeda, but the Halos were able to get to the Detroit bullpen to pull off the win.       Rengifo went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer in Thursday's win over the Tigers.

      Advice: Rengifo increased the Angels' lead to five runs with a two-out, two-run blast in the bottom of the fifth inning, giving the second baseman his first long ball since May 24. The performance marked his eighth multi-hit performance this month and the third in his four contests, raising his season batting average to .312. The home run was Rengifo's fifth of the campaign.     • Garcia blasts 15th home run in loss Thursday
      Adolis Garcia went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Orioles on Thursday.



      Advice: Garcia’s home run was his 15th of the season. It hasn’t been Garcia’s best season, but he’s showing what it means to possess a solid floor. He’s only hitting .219, but he’s still on pace for around 30 home runs with 15 stolen bases and run totals in the mid-80s. Even though Garcia isn’t repeating the monster season he produced last year, he’s still carving out a pretty nice year for himself.

      Castro went 2-for-4 with a double, a two-run home run and two runs scored in Wednesday's win over Arizona while also being hit by a pitch.

      Advice: Castro was hit by a pitch in his second at-bat and responded with a leadoff double on the first pitch in his next trip to the plate, before then coming home on a double from Trevor Larnach. The utility man would add a two-run homer in the fifth to increase Minnesota's lead to seven runs, giving him two homers over his last five games. Castro has also hit safely in nine straight, posting multiple hits in five of those contests. He's batting .405 (15-for-37) over that stretch with eight RBI and nine runs scored.       Willi Castro went 2-for-4 with a two-run homer and two runs scored against the Diamondbacks on Wednesday.

      Advice: After getting hit by a pitch in the second inning, Castro led off the fourth with a double before scoring on a double by Trevor Larnach. Castro then took Brandon Hughes deep for a two-run homer in the fifth to extend the Twins lead.       Profar went 1-for-3 with a grand slam, a hit-by-pitch and an additional run scored in Tuesday's 9-7 win over the Nationals.

      Advice: Profar gave the Padres the extra cushion they ultimately needed when he slugged a grand slam in the sixth inning. The Nationals attempted a comeback but fell short. After a brief absence with a knee injury over the weekend, Profar has resumed his hot hitting -- he's 10-for-36 (.278) with nine RBI during his nine-game hitting streak.     • Jurickson Profar hits grand slam in Padres’ win
      Jurickson Profar hit a grand slam Tuesday in the Padres’ 9-7 takedown of the Nationals.

      Advice: This game had a little bit of everything, including a benches-clearing incident, a manager ejection, some extended player admiration of home runs, ugly defense, boneheaded baserunning and 16 runs in all. What it didn’t have was strikeouts; the teams totaled just five, and Nationals hitters went the first eight innings without any at all. Profar, coming off a walkoff hit Monday, was involved in the early confrontation that emptied the dugouts and then immediately was hit by a pitch after warnings were issued. Immediately after that, he scored on a Manny Machado homer. His slam, a line-drive homer down the right field line, was the fourth of his career.       Advice: Garcia gave the Rangers a 3-1 lead with his sixth-inning blast, though the advantage was wiped out on a Rhys Hoskins grand slam in the bottom of the frame. As with Hoskins, Garcia's homer ended an extended power drought -- the outfielder hadn't gone deep in any of his past 17 games and had driven in just one run during that span.
