      Advice: It wouldn’t be shocking to see Rutschman get a day off, or at least be limited to designated hitter for a bit, after suffering an apparent right hand injury during Thursday’s blowout win over the Rangers when he was hit by a foul tip. The 26-year-old backstop, who went 2-for-4 with his 15th homer of the season in the one-sided affair, had his hand wrapped following the contest and might need some time off to address the issue.       Byron Buxton hit a three-run homer while going 3-for-4 in a 13-6 rout of the Diamondbacks on Thursday.

      Advice: Buxton also scored three runs. The three-run blast came off Scott McGough and gave Minnesota a 11-0 lead and it travelled 456 feet. The outfielder is starting to pick things up offensively, and he’s picked up three hits in two of his last three games while improving his slash to .261/.311/.449.       According to the San Francisco Chronicle’s Shayna Rubin, Kyle Harrison (ankle) will throw a bullpen on Friday.
