      Steven Kwan went 4-for-5 with one RBI against the Blue Jays on Sunday.



      Advice: Kwan is hitting a ridiculous .398 on the season now. It’s probably not sustainable as his BABIP is .418 compared to his career .320 BABIP, but Kwan benefits from his low seven percent strikeout percentage. He’s going to put the ball in play a lot and right now everything is finding a hole.

    • Varsho hits grand slam for 11th home run Sunday
      Daulton Varsho went 2-for-4 with a grand slam against the Guardians on Sunday.



      Advice: The home run was Varsho’s 11th of the season. He could’ve had an even bigger game as he came up with the bases loaded again in the eighth inning, but he struck out. While he’s only hitting .220, he’s produced in the power categories with 11 home runs and 35 RBI. His .238 ISO is even higher than his .207 iSO in 2022 when he hit 27 home runs with the Diamondbacks.

    • Pete Fairbanks locked down Braves for save
      Pete Fairbanks struck out two and walked one en route to his 10th save of the season on Sunday.

      Advice: Fairbanks has been solid since returning from the IL last month with six saves in as many chances. It’s worth keeping an eye on his walk rate though as it’s inched up over 12%, the highest mark of his career. Rotoworld 21 minutes ago
       
    • Thomas hits home run for third consecutive game
      Lane Thomas went 1-for-4 with a solo home run against the Marlins on Sunday.



      Advice: It’s Thomas’ third consecutive game with a home run. He now has seven total on the year. Thomas has been hot over his last 10 games going 10-for-37 (.351) to bring his season average to .238. He stole 11 bases in 22 games in April, but has just five steals in 20 games since.

      Meyers is not in the lineup for Sunday's game against the Tigers.

      Advice: Meyers is hitless so far in the series, though he flashed the leather Friday with an incredible catch to rob Riley Greene of a homer. That defense will keep him in the lineup most days and afford him time to build on his nice start at the dish (.254/.315/.414).       Jones (4-6) took the loss against the Rockies on Saturday, allowing six runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings. He struck out six.

      Advice: Jones struck out three of the first four batters he faced on the night before allowing two batters to reach in the second, though he managed to escape the inning unscathed thanks to a double-play ball. However, that luck did not continue as the right-hander went on to surrender at least one run in each of the next three frames while issuing a season-high four walks in the contest. Jones has now surrendered five or more runs in two of his last four starts and has issued multiple free passes in five straight.     • Corbin Carroll doubles twice in loss to White Sox
      Corbin Carroll hit two doubles while scoring twice in a loss to the White Sox on Saturday.

      Advice: Carroll was one of the few hitters who had any success against Erick Fedde and the White Sox bullpen, and he scored the only two runs in the contest for the D-Backs.     • Rebounds with win, quality start
      Morton (4-3) earned the win over Tampa Bay on Saturday, allowing one run on three hits and two walks while striking out eight batters over six innings.

      Advice: Morton had his swing-and-miss stuff working, racking up 22 whiffs among his 105 pitches. The veteran hurler fell behind by a run in the first inning but yielded only two hits while holding the Rays scoreless thereafter. This was a nice bounce-back for Morton after he surrendered five runs (four earned) over five innings against Washington in his previous start.     • Jared Jones allows six runs in loss to Rockies
      Jared Jones allowed six runs over his 4 2/3 innings while picking up a loss to the Rockies on Saturday.

      Advice: Jones was not great, and the Pittsburgh bullpen allowed 10 more runs to score in a 16-4 blowout loss to the Rockies. The right-hander gave up six hits, and he also walked four on a night where the command just wasn’t there for the 22-year-old. He still was able to strike out six, and his rookie campaign has certainly been a success even with a couple of so-so outings as of late.
