    • Bullpen session pushed to Thursday
Olson (hip) is slated to throw a bullpen session Thursday and is on track to make his scheduled start this weekend against the Blue Jays, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: The Tigers initially said Olson would throw off a mound Wednesday, but he it will be pushed back one day. Olson had to exit his outing Monday versus the Royals after being struck on the right hip by a comebacker. Detroit fully expects the righty to be ready for his start this weekend, but he'll need to get through Thursday's mound session before that's official. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago

    • Resting against lefty
Carpenter is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Royals.

Advice: With a tough southpaw (Cole Ragans) taking the hill for Kansas City, the lefty-hitting Carpenter will retreat to the bench for the series finale. Mark Canha will replace Carpenter in right field. Rotowire.com Today, 8:28 am

    • Day off versus left-hander
Naylor is out of the lineup for Wednesday's game against the Mets.

Advice: The Mets are starting left-hander Jose Quintana and the two teams are concluding the series with a day game after a night game, so it's a sensible spot for Guardians manager Stephen Vogt to give the left-handed-hitting Naylor a breather. David Fry will start at first base Wednesday in Naylor's stead. Rotowire.com Today, 7:47 am

    • Notches seventh save
Megill gave up a hit and struck out three in a scoreless ninth inning Tuesday to record his seventh save of the season in a 7-5 win over the Marlins.

Advice: After blowing his first save of the season the night before, Megill bounced back and fired 11 of 14 pitches for strikes to get the job done, with five of his fastballs clocking in at 99 mph or higher. The right-hander sports a 1.98 ERA, 1.02 WHIP and 17:3 K:BB through 13.2 innings this season, and with Devin Williams (back) just now beginning to toss a baseball, Megill figures to handle closing duties with Milwaukee for at least another couple months. • Takes loss against Red Sox
Adam (2-1) allowed two earned runs on two hits and two walks while striking out one across one inning to take the loss Tuesday against the Red Sox.

Advice: Adam entered the game in the eighth inning with the score tied, 2-2. He settled in after allowing the first three batters he faced to reach base, though he was unable to recover from his early struggles. The outing snapped a seven-appearance scoreless stretch, and Adam has been excellent overall this season by maintaining a 2.05 ERA and 1.00 WHIP across 22 innings to go along with three saves and 10 holds. • Homer, steal in extra-inning loss
Harris went 1-for-5 with a solo home run and a stolen base in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning loss to the Cubs.

Advice: Harris started May in a dreadful 0-for-26 slump, but he's snapped out of it by going 10-for-39 (.256) with two homers, two steals, four RBI and three runs scored over his last 10 contests. The outfielder is slashing .250/.289/.378 with five homers, seven steals, 17 RBI and 19 runs scored through 45 games this season. Harris hit over .290 and flirted with 20-20 years in each of his first two big-league campaigns, so there's still another level he can get back to as he rebounds from his slump. • Walk-off hit in return
Hoerner went 1-for-5 with one RBI in Tuesday's 4-3 extra-inning win over Atlanta.

Advice: Hoerner had a relatively unimpressive return after missing over a week with a hamstring issue, but he made up for it with a one-out, walk-off single in the 10th inning. The infielder is slashing .267/.357/.385 with two home runs, 13 RBI, 25 runs scored and five stolen bases over 185 plate appearances. Hoerner's return will likely mean less playing time for Nick Madrigal moving forward, assuming Hoerner doesn't suffer a setback with his hamstring. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm

    • Raps out four hits
Garcia went 4-for-5 with two triples, one RBI and three runs scored in Tuesday's 10-3 win over the Tigers.

Advice: Garcia showcased his speed Tuesday with the pair of triples. The third baseman has gone 14-for-39 (.359) during his nine-game hitting streak, and he's added three steals, eight RBI and nine runs scored in that span. For the season, the leadoff hitter is slashing .263/.308/.429 with five home runs, 32 RBI, 28 runs scored and 11 stolen bases across 48 games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:20 pm

    • Records two hits in return
Swanson (knee) went 2-for-4 with a double and a run scored in Tuesday's 4-3, extra-inning win over Atlanta.

Advice: Swanson was activated from the 10-day injured list Monday night and he made his return to the lineup Tuesday after missing two weeks. The shortstop hit the ground running against his former team, though he's been off to a slow start overall with just a .218 batting average across 38 games. Swanson should still see regular playing time moving forward despite his struggles, and he's talented enough to heat up in a hurry. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:10 pm
