    • On bench against righty
Crow-Armstrong is out of the lineup for Sunday's game against the Cardinals.

Advice: The lefty-hitting Crow-Armstrong be on the bench against a right-handed starting pitcher (Miles Mikolas) for the second time in the series. After he was called up from Triple-A Iowa on May 30, Crow-Armstrong had settled into a near-everyday role in center field while the Cubs eased Cody Bellinger back from the injured list by deploying him more frequently at designated hitter, first base and right field. Now that Bellinger is further removed from a fractured rib cage and with first baseman Michael Busch also seemingly regaining the confidence of manager Craig Counsell, Crow-Armstrong could find himself as the odd man out of the Chicago lineup. • Extends hitting streak
Gonzales went 2-for-5 with a solo home run, two RBI and two runs scored Saturday against Colorado.

Advice: Gonzales tallied Pittsburgh's first run of the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning, his fifth long ball of the season. That knock also extended his hitting streak to six games, and he's hitting .292 with nine RBI and five runs scored across 12 contests in June. Rotowire.com 17 minutes ago

    • Grand slam in win
Toglia went 2-for-4 with a grand slam and two runs scored in Saturday's win over the Pirates while also drawing a walk.

Advice: Toglia reached base in each of his first two at-bats, coming around to score Colorado's second run of the game on a Jake Cave double in the fourth. The 25-year-old would then add more insurance runs for the Rockies with a grand slam in the eighth as they ran away with the win at home. Toglia is now batting .300 in June with nine RBI and four runs scored and he's now hit safely in three straight games. Saturday also marked his second two-hit performance of the campaign. • Huge game in return
Cave went 3-for-5 with a double, a triple, three RBI and three runs scored Saturday against Pittsburgh.

Advice: Cave was hit in the head during batting practice Friday but returned to the lineup one day later. He participated in Colorado's 16-run offensive outburst in a significant way, and he now has at least one hit in each of his last four starts. Cave entered the lineup with Brenton Doyle (knee) scratched, though he may find consistent playing time hard to come by assuming Doyle doesn't require a stint on the injured list. • Resumes all activity
Rodgers (hamstring) has engaged in all baseball activities in recent days, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Rodgers has been running and hitting soft toss, though he took another step forward by doing light fielding drills Saturday. The team has said they expect Rodgers to return shortly after he's eligible and his current level of activity suggests he remains on track. Rotowire.com 26 minutes ago

    • Nine-game hitting streak
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a walk Saturday against Atlanta.

Advice: Diaz extended his hitting streak to nine games with the performance, during which he's collected multiple hits on five occasions. He's hitting .359 in that span, though his production has otherwise been empty as he has zero extra-base hits, one RBI and three runs scored. Diaz has managed only a .094 ISO across 309 plate appearances for the campaign, so his lack of power has not been a short-term issue. Rotowire.com 30 minutes ago

    • Huge day at plate
Goodman went 4-for-5 with two homers, a double, five RBI and three runs scored in Saturday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Goodman got the party started with a 440-foot solo shot off Jared Jones to lead off the bottom of the third and added an RBI double in the following frame. The utility man, who drew the start at catcher on Saturday, would then top off his monster day at the plate by crushing a two-run homer in the seventh and an RBI groundout in the eighth. He finished with season highs in hits (four), RBI (five) and runs scored (three) after coming into the contest on an 0-for-14 skid to open the month of June. It also marked the first two-homer game of Goodman's career. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

    • First homer of June
Arozarena went 1-for-4 with a solo home run Saturday against Atlanta.

Advice: Arozarena went yard in the ninth inning to tally his ninth homer of the season and his first in June. Despite the lack of power, he has managed to hit .263 with a .417 on-base percentage for the month -- both of which are significant improvements over his season-long line. Arozarena is still hitting just .175 for the campaign, though he has also chipped in seven steals. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago
    • Continuing ramp-up process
Angels manager Ron Washington said Tuesday that Rendon (hamstring) was scheduled to field more grounders to his left and right this week before resuming running drills, MLB.com reports.

Advice: It's not clear how Rendon responded to incorporating more lateral movement into his fielding work, but the 34-year-old generally looks to be trending in the right direction as he works his way back from the left hamstring strain that has kept him out since April 20. He remains without a clear target date for a return from the 60-day IL, but if he's able to increase his running work in the coming days, the Angels could begin the process of outlining a minor-league rehab assignment for the veteran third baseman.
