    • Byron Buxton on the bench on Monday
Byron Buxton is not in the starting lineup for the Twins against the Rockies on Monday.

Advice: Buxton is hitting just .223/.276/.357 in 47 games with three home runs and three steals. He’s sporting a 31 percent strikeout rate and is just 3-for-26 to start June. At 30 years old, after multiple injury-plagued seasons, it’s possible Buxton will never recapture the form he showed in his earlier seasons. Manuel Margot will start in center field for the Twins on Monday, and, Buxton does not need to be held in shallow fantasy leagues. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:38 pm

    • Not in Monday's lineup
Buxton is absent from the lineup for Monday's game against the Rockies.

Advice: Buxton is slashing just .185/.243/.308 in 19 games since coming off the injured list May 18 and is only 3-for-26 with a 32.1 percent strikeout rate so far in June. Manuel Margot will get the call in center field for the Twins on Monday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:37 pm

    • Tim Anderson activated from the bereavement list
Marlins reinstated SS Tim Anderson from the Bereavement List.

Advice: The veteran is back after missing the weekend series. He’ll most likely return to his starting role at shortstop despite hitting .188 with no home runs in 165 at-bats with Miami this year. He should not be rostered in fantasy leagues. Xavier Edwards was optioned to Triple-A in a corresponding move. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:30 am

    • Returns from bereavement list
The Marlins activated Anderson (personal) from the bereavement list Monday.

Advice: Anderson missed the weekend series against the Guardians but will be back in action as the Marlins travel to New York to play the Mets beginning Tuesday. With a .188/.221/.206 slash line, Anderson has been one of the worst-hitting regulars in baseball this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:11 am

    • Monster day at plate
O'Hoppe went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer, a double, a steal and three runs scored in Sunday's 9-7 win over the Astros.

Advice: O'Hoppe tallied his second four-hit game of the season and also managed to swipe his first base of the year. Most of his damage came in the later innings, as he scored all three of his runs over the final four frames. He saved his biggest hit of the day for last, as he took Josh Hader deep on the first pitch he saw to walk things off for the Angels and cap off an excellent offensive showing. O'Hoppe is now riding a mini four-game hit streak and has eight hits over that span. After his monstrous performance, the 24-year-old backstop is slashing .269/.322/.446 with eight homers, 28 RBI, 27 runs and a 13:51 BB:K in 209 plate appearances. • Swipes eighth bag
Springer went 1-for-4 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's extra-inning win over the A's.

Advice: The veteran outfielder stole his eighth bag of the year but his first since May 15, snapping a 19-game drought on the basepaths. Springer is showing signs of life at the plate as well -- over his last 12 games, he's slashing .268/.400/.439 with two homers, four RBI and 11 runs. He's been consistently hitting lower in the order during that stretch, anywhere from fifth to seventh, and with rookie Spencer Horwitz currently getting a look as a table-setter, Springer likely won't return to a more prominent spot in the lineup any time soon. • Fires seven innings
Kirby allowed a run on five hits over seven innings in a no-decision Sunday. He struck out four during the win over the Royals.

Advice: The lone run to score on Kirby came via a sacrifice bunt in the fifth inning. After a shaky stretch in May, he's back to looking like his usual self recently; over his last three starts, Kirby has posted a 2.00 ERA and 21:1 K:BB. He was in line for the win after his seventh quality start of 2024 before the Royals tied up the game in the ninth inning. Kirby is now sporting a 3.81 ERA with a terrific 78:7 K:BB through 80.1 frames. His next start is lined up to be at home against the Rangers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:32 pm

    • George Kibry strong for seven against Royals
George Kirby pitched seven innings of one-run ball Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Kirby was in line for the win when he left, but a two-run lead was blown in the bottom of the ninth. Kirby has allowed a total of four runs in his last three starts, lowering his ERA from 4.33 to 3.81. He went without walking a batter today, and his K/BB stands at 78/7 through 80 1/3 innings. • Swipes bag
Buxton went 0-for-5 with a run scored and a stolen base in Sunday's win over the Pirates.

Advice: Buxton went hitless but managed to reach base on a hit-by-pitch in the 10th inning. He recorded his third stolen base in five tries this season and his first since May 28. Buxton has had a brutal start to the month of June, batting just .115 (3-for-26) with one RBI, one run scored and one stolen base. The 30-year-old continues to start in center field for the Twins due to his defensive prowess, but he has not been a reliable option for fantasy managers. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:21 pm
