    • Resting versus LHP
Julien isn't in the Twins' lineup Saturday versus Cleveland.

Advice: With lefty Logan Allen set to take the mound for the Guardians, Julien and his career .545 OPS against southpaws will stay put in Minnesota's dugout. Kyle Farmer will get the nod to start at second base instead and bat eighth. Rotowire.com 33 minutes ago

    • Idle versus lefty
Busch isn't in the Cubs' lineup for Saturday's game against the Pirates.

Advice: With lefty Bailey Falter set to start on the mound for the Bucs, the left-handed bat of Busch will remain in Chicago's dugout. His absence will give Patrick Wisdom an opportunity to start at first while batting leadoff. Rotowire.com Today, 10:00 am

    • Dazzles in first win of season
Luzardo (1-3) picked up the win Friday, allowing five hits over six scoreless innings in an 8-0 victory over the Mets. He struck out seven without walking a batter.

Advice: After a couple first-inning hits got Francisco Lindor to second base, Luzardo locked in and retired 11 straight batters. All five hits off the southpaw were singles, and he fired 59 of 89 pitches for strikes in his second quality start of the year. After a bumpy first few weeks to the season and then an IL stint, Luzardo appears to be back in form, delivering a 15:1 K:BB in 11.2 innings over two starts since rejoining the rotation. He'll carry a 5.02 ERA, 1.25 WHIP and 42:14 K:BB through 37.2 innings into his next outing, which is scheduled to come at home next week against the Brewers. Rotowire.com Today, 7:53 am
    • Connor Wong collects four hits versus Cardinals
Connor Wong finished 4-for-5 with an RBI against the Cardinals on Friday.

Advice: Statcast thinks Wong has been one of the game’s most fortunate hitters this year, but the luck shows no signs of stopping. His exit velocity numbers remain mediocre, but he has shown some legitimate improvement in terms of contact ability. With the Red Sox hitting him third of late, he’s a top-12 catcher for the moment. • Four hits in loss
Wong went 4-for-5 with an RBI double in Friday's loss to St. Louis.

Advice: Wong continues to impress in 2024 as he's up to 11 multi-hit efforts in his first 30 games. It was his first four-hit game since April 24, bumping his slash line up to .362/.389/.552 with 10 extra-base hits and 16 RBI. Through 11 games this month, Wong has gone 15-for-38 (.394) with four multi-hit games. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:02 pm

    • Doubles, swipes bag in return
Rengifo went 1-for-4 with a double, a steal, a run scored and a walk in Friday's win over Texas.

Advice: Rengifo hit second in his first game since May 6 after a brief stint on the injured list. He ripped a double in the first inning before drawing a walk, stealing second base and scoring a run in the third. The utility player was on a 19-for-46 (.413) tear over his last 15 games before landing on the IL. Rengifo is slashing .326/.379/.463 with nine extra-base hits and 10 steals through 29 games. • Jesús Luzardo strikes out seven, earns win
Jesús Luzardo completed six innings in the Marlins 8-0 win over the Mets on Friday. He struck out seven, walked none, and allowed seven hits.

Advice: Luzardo has been fantastic since returning from the IL, striking out 15 in 11 ⅔ innings across two starts putting a rough start to the season behind him. However, be advised his fastball averaged just 94.7 MPH Friday. That was his lowest mark in a single start this season and after he’s already spent time on the shelf with elbow tightness. • Dominant in first MLB win
Skenes (1-0) earned the win over the Cubs on Friday, issuing just one walk while striking out 11 over six hitless, scoreless innings.

Advice: Skenes was lights out in his second big-league start -- he struck out the first seven batters he faced while holding the Cubs without a baserunner until Michael Busch's one-out walk in the fifth inning. Skenes has been as advertised to start his career, averaging 99.3 MPH with his fastball Friday and generating a 44 percent whiff rate with the pitch. The 21-year-old right-hander has allowed three runs through his first 10 innings while striking out 18. Skenes will look to keep rolling in his next outing, which tentatively lines up as a home matchup with the Giants. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 2:33 pm

    • Paul Skenes goes six hitless, fans 11 in first win
Paul Skenes pitched no-hit ball for six innings, striking out 11, in the Pirates’ 9-3 win over the Cubs on Friday.

Advice: Skenes was overwhelming in striking out the first seven batters he faced, and he didn’t let up much after that. He allowed only one hard-hit ball, a 107-mph groundout from Miguel Amaya. In fact, six of his seven non-strikeout outs came on grounders. It was a clear step forward from his debut last week and even a little extra impressive because it came against a lineup that had just seen him. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:25 pm
