    • Settles for no-decision Monday
King allowed one run on three hits and one walk while striking out seven batters over five innings in a no-decision against Miami on Monday.

Advice: King pitched very well in the outing, but San Diego wasn't able to put its second run on the board until the seventh frame, preventing him from picking up a second consecutive victory. The only run the right-hander allowed came on a third-inning homer by Jazz Chisholm. King has given up one or zero runs in three of his past five starts and has racked up a 34:8 K:BB across 30 innings over that span. He's tentatively slated to make his next start in Kansas City. Michael King allowed one run in five innings and got a no-decision in the Padres’ 2-1 victory over the Marlins on Monday.

Advice: King allowed three hits, one walk and struck out seven. He left the game with the score tied after five innings. King’s ERA is now 4.09 on the season. His 74 strikeouts this year rank among the top 10 in all of baseball. The 29-year-old right-hander is set to face the Royals on the road this weekend.

    • Smacks homer in win
Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run homer in Monday's victory over the Cubs.

Advice: Adames popped his first home run since May 7 when he crushed a 427-foot, three-run shot off Hayden Wesneski in the eighth inning. The Brewers shortstop hopes the homer turns his month around, as he entered the game slashing .213/.253/.404 over 99 plate appearances in May. Overall, Adames is hitting .249/.322/.440 with eight home runs, 27 runs scored and 35 RBI in 233 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 5:38 pm

    • Adames blasts eighth home run Monday
Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Cubs on Monday.

Advice: Adames came to the plate with two men on and one out in a 1-0 game in the eighth inning. He blasted a Hayden Wesneski offering to center for a no-doubt home run. The home run was Adames’ eighth of the season and he already has a career-high eight stolen bases.

    • Surrenders five runs in loss
Marsh (4-2) took the loss Monday against Minnesota, allowing five runs on five hits and two walks over seven innings. He struck out seven.

Advice: Marsh was done in by two swings of the bat -- a Jose Miranda two-run homer in the third and a Trevor Larnach three-run blast in the fifth. The Kansas City right-hander has been productive since returning from an elbow injury May 10, firing a 3.86 ERA, 1.11 WHIP and 26:7 K:BB in 23.1 innings. Overall, his ERA now sits at 3.24 with a 43:14 K:BB over 50 innings. Marsh is slated to face the Padres at home in his next start. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 3:22 pm

    • Alec Marsh coughs up two homers in loss to Twins
Alec Marsh surrendered five runs over seven innings on Monday in a loss to the Twins.

Advice: The surface stats certainly won’t reflect it, but Marsh held his own on Monday afternoon at Target Field as he was ultimately burned by a pair of tape-measure homers as Jose Miranda got him for a two-run bomb in the third inning before Trevor Larnach tattooed a three-run blast a couple frames later. He struck out seven and only issued a pair of walks, completing seven frames to spare Kansas City’s bullpen. It was just the second time this season in nine starts that he’s allowed four earned runs or more. He’s notched at least seven strikeouts in three of his last four outings since May 10. The 26-year-old righty will carry a solid 3.24 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 43/14 K/BB ratio across 50 innings (nine starts) into a home outing on Saturday against the Padres. • Grabbing seat
Santander is absent from the lineup for Monday's tilt against the Red Sox.

Advice: Santander has homered twice in his last four contests, but he's also done a lot of swinging and missing of late with 10 strikeouts across his past 25 plate appearances. Kyle Stowers is getting a start in right field. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:48 am

    • Smacks 18th homer
Tucker went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run and a walk Sunday against the Athletics.

Advice: The Astros scored all five of their runs in the fourth inning, and Tucker delivered the final blow with his 18th homer of the season. He's gone yard 11 times across 23 games in May, good for a 1.127 OPS. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:18 am

    • Power surge continues
McMahon went 1-for-3 with a walk and a two-run home run Sunday against the Phillies.

Advice: McMahon popped his 10th home run of the season in the first inning, and half of those long balls have come in his last 10 starts. In that span, he's scored 10 runs and driven in 11 while hitting .268. McMahon has also cut his strikeout rate to 24.9 percent across 225 plate appearances, down 3.5 percentage points from his career clip. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:01 am
