    • Splendid in victory Monday
Cease (6-5) earned the win over Oakland on Monday, allowing one run on eight hits and one walk while striking out eight batters over six innings.

Advice: Cease surrendered a solo homer to Tyler Soderstrom in the second inning, but that was the only run the A's managed to score against him. The right-handed hurler racked up 15 whiffs among his 104 pitches and gave up fewer than three runs for the first time since May 8. Cease entered Monday with a 5.86 ERA over his previous five starts, and he went 0-3 during that span. However, he still holds a solid 3.36 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 101:23 K:BB over 83 innings on the season. Rotowire.com 18 minutes ago

    • Let down by bullpen after QS
Fedde allowed one run on five hits and one walk while striking out four batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Seattle on Monday.

Advice: Fedde was brilliant through seven scoreless frames before Dominic Canzone tagged him for a solo homer leading off the eighth. That spelled the end of Fedde's outing, but he departed in line for the victory with a 4-1 lead. However, Michael Kopech entered and gave up three runs, wiping out the advantage and forcing Fedde to settle for a no-decision. Despite the late letdown, this was nice bounce-back for the right-hander after he gave up seven earned runs across 10 innings over his previous two starts. He's in the midst of a career-best campaign with a 3.10 ERA, 1.16 WHIP and 77:23 K:BB through 81.1 frames. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Earns 10th save
Megill earned a save against the Blue Jays on Monday, allowing one hit in a scoreless ninth inning.

Advice: Entering with a 3-1 lead in the ninth inning, Megill allowed a two-out single to Spencer Horwitz but retired Vladimir Guerrero Jr. on the next pitch to secure his 10th save of the season. Megill has posted four straight scoreless appearances and is now 10-for-11 in save chances this season. He owns a 2.00 ERA, 1.06 WHIP and 24:4 K:BB and should continue to be the primary closer in Milwaukee until Devin Williams (back) returns from the injured list. Rotowire.com Today, 9:14 pm
    • Homers and steals in win
Adames went 2-for-3 with a home run, two RBI and a stolen base in a 3-1 win against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Adames singled and stole second base in the second inning, gave the Brewers a 2-1 lead on a solo homer in the fourth and added some insurance on a sacrifice fly in the sixth. Adames opened June in a 4-for-28 slump through eight games, but he now has double-digit home runs and stolen bases following Monday's outburst. On the season, Adames is slashing .248/.328/.433 with 10 home runs, 45 RBI and 10 steals while primarily hitting cleanup. Rotowire.com Today, 9:13 pm

    • Adames blasts 10th home run Monday
Willy Adames went 2-for-4 with a home run, a stolen base and a sacrifice fly against the Blue Jays on Monday.

Advice: Adames’ home run was his 10th of the season and the stolen base was his ninth. He’s hitting .248 with a .761 OPS this year, but he continues to drive in runs in the middle of the Milwaukee order. Adames now has 45 RBI to go with the homers and steals. Fantasy managers have to be pleased with that production so far. Rotoworld Today, 7:36 pm

    • Sheds crutches
Tucker (lower leg) is no longer using crutches and remains hopeful for a Friday return, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

Advice: As Rome points out, Tucker has yet to be cleared to resume baseball activities, but the team is optimistic about his chances of being activated after missing the 10-day minimum. Houston should have a better idea of an exact return date for Tucker later in the week. Rotowire.com Today, 5:10 pm

    • Kyle Tucker (shin) off crutches, aiming for Friday
Kyle Tucker is off crutches as he deals with his right shin contusion, and the Astros believe there’s a chance he’ll return from the IL when eligible on Friday.

Advice: No rehab stint here. Tucker hasn’t done any running yet, but he should need only one good day on the field before rejoining Houston’s lineup. Rotoworld Today, 5:03 pm

    • Resumes baseball activities
Massey (back) took swings and played catch Monday, Anne Rogers of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Massey received multiple injections after being examined by a back specialist in late May and is finally ready to ramp things back up. There's no guarantee his recurring back issues won't flare up again, but for now Massey looks to be trending in the right direction. Rotowire.com Today, 3:08 pm

    • Michael Massey (back) takes swings, plays catch
Michael Massey, out since May 24 with a sprained lower back ligament, took swings and played catch prior to Monday’s game.

Advice: The Royals have started giving Nick Loftin a chance over Adam Frazier at second base, and it will be interesting to see if he has a chance to stick after Massey returns. One imagines that’s still at least a few days away from happening. Rotoworld Today, 3:07 pm
