    • Suffers wrist contusion
      Rengifo suffered a left wrist contusion in Sunday's 13-6 loss to the Giants, Jeff Fletcher of The Orange County Register reports.

      Advice: Rengifo took a line drive single from Matt Chapman off his left arm in the bottom of the fourth inning while playing third base, exiting the contest thereafter. The 27-year-old underwent X-rays, which showed just a contusion and he said the he expects to play Monday against the Brewers. Rengifo can be considered day-to-day for the time being.       Luis Rengifo (wrist) told reporters after Sunday’s game that he expects to play on Monday.

      Advice: Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game after being drilled in the wrist by a ball off the bat of Matt Chapman. He did undergo precautionary X-rays that ruled out any fractures though and was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion. While he wants to play on Monday, it’s possible that the Angels give him an extra day off to rest. He won’t be looking at any sort of extended absence though. Rotoworld 22 minutes ago

      Cease (6-6) took the loss as he went 3.2 innings, giving up seven runs on seven hits and three walks Sunday versus the Mets.

      Advice: From the jump Cease just didn't have his best stuff on Sunday, he allowed the first four hitters to score after serving up homers to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso. The 28-year-old gave up a season-high seven runs in what was his shortest outing of the campaign. After pitching to a 2.19 ERA over his first eight starts, the righty has run into a rough patch giving up at least three runs in six of his last seven starts and seeing his ERA climb to 3.95 in the process.       Luis Rengifo was diagnosed with a left wrist contusion after being hit by a batted ball during Sunday’s contest against the Giants.

      Advice: Presumably, he has already undergone imaging that ruled out any fractures, but the announcement from the Angels was simply that he was dealing with a left wrist contusion.       Luis Rengifo was pulled from Sunday’s game against the Giants after injuring his left wrist in the fourth inning.

      Advice: A hard-hit ball off the bat of Matt Chapman deflected off of Rengifo’s wrist at third base and he immediately went down in pain.     • Megill picks up 13th save against Reds Sunday
      Trevor Megill pitched a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Megill’s save was his 13th of the year filling in for Devin Williams. In the ninth inning, with two men on and two outs, Megill gave up a single to Santiago Espinal on a line drive to center. However, outfielder Blake Perkins threw out Stuart Fairchild at home to end the game. It ended up being a scoreless inning for Megill, who lowered his ERA to 2.14 on the season.     • Adames slugs three-run home run in win Sunday
      Willy Adames went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run against the Reds on Sunday.

      Advice: Adames’ home run was his 12th of the season. The three-run shot gave Milwaukee a 4-3 lead in the sixth inning. Adames is only hitting .244 this season, but has 51 RBI hitting fourth for the Brewers. Rotoworld Today, 2:21 pm

      Dylan Cease allowed seven earned runs in just 3 2/3 innings on Sunday against the Mets. He struck out five, walked three, and was tagged with the loss.

      Advice: The Mets jumped all over Cease with a four-run first inning and sent him packing before he could finish four innings. His command was poor overall and he served up meatballs to Francisco Lindor and Pete Alonso that found the seats. This was only the third time this season Cease did not complete at least five innings and it’s unlikely Sunday’s start becomes part of a larger trend. Rotoworld Today, 2:14 pm
       
    • Jordan Westburg blasts three-run homer
      Jordan Westburg went 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBI, and two runs scored on Sunday.

      Advice: One of the stories of the season, Westburg has been a revelation for Baltimore. The homer was his 11th on the season with 42 runs batted in and a .278 average while playing both second and third base. He’s become a very good player very quickly. Rotoworld Today, 1:46 pm
