    • Third straight game with homer
Ward went 2-for-6 with a solo home run in Saturday's 3-2 extra-innings loss to the Rangers.

Advice: Ward was the only Angel with multiple hits in the 13-inning marathon. He's logged three straight multi-hit games, swatting a homer in each of them to reach 10 long balls on the year. The outfielder is slashing .275/.320/.494 with 28 RBI, 27 runs scored, nine doubles and two stolen bases over 45 contests. Ward continues to hold down a near-everyday role in left field as one of the more productive players on the Angels' roster. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:05 pm

    • Belts big three-run blast
Contreras went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run Saturday in a 4-2 victory versus Houston.

Advice: Contreras provided the biggest hit of the game with a three-run, fourth-inning homer that broke a 1-1 tie and sent Justin Verlander to the showers. The long ball was the backstop's second in his past three games and extended his current on-base streak to 25 contests. During that stretch, Contreras is batting .347 with three homers, 17 RBI, 22 runs, two stolen bases and a 14:16 BB:K. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:46 pm
    • Pitches around trouble for save
McArthur allowed two hits and struck out two without walking a batter in a scoreless inning to earn the save in Saturday's 5-3 win over the Athletics.

Advice: McArthur allowed back-to-back singles to begin the ninth inning, but he retired the next three batters to secure his 11th save of the year. He's allowed multiple baserunners in four of his last six outings, but he's converted his last four save chances. McArthur is at a 4.35 ERA, 1.40 WHIP and 23:3 K:BB through 20.2 innings this season. • Tallies three hits in loss
Abrams went 3-for-5 with a run and an RBI in Saturday's extra-inning loss to Philadelphia.

Advice: Abrams had been in a minor rut coming into Saturday, going 1-for-13 over his previous four games. He broke the skid with his first three-hit performance since April 23 while collecting his first RBI since May 8. Abrams' production has fallen off in May -- he's batting .230 with a 1:14 BB:K this month -- but he's still carrying a solid .271/.330/.494 slash line with seven homers, 21 RBI, 28 runs and eight stolen bases on the season. • Hurls quality start Saturday
Sanchez allowed two runs on eight hits and no walks while striking out eight batters over seven innings in a no-decision against Washington on Saturday.

Advice: Sanchez fell behind when he gave up a first-inning run, but he allowed only one more score the rest of the way. The left-hander fanned eight batters -- his highest mark over his past five outings -- and finished with his fourth quality start of the campaign. Sanchez has been a solid fifth starter for the Phillies this season, registering a 3.31 ERA, 1.45 WHIP and 47:18 K:BB over 49 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:39 pm
    • McArthur picks up 11th save Saturday
James McArthur allowed two hits, struck out two and picked up his 11th save against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: McArthur allowed back-to-back singles to start the ninth inning before getting Abraham Toro to line out and striking out JJ Bleday. He then struck out Brent Rooker with the game on the line. McArthur’s ERA is 4.35, but he continues to rack up the saves for Royals and fantasy managers. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:56 pm
    • William Contreras hits three-run blast vs. Astros
William Contreras connected on a three-run homer to help the Brewers to a 4-2 win over the Astros on Saturday.

Advice: Contreras absolutely shellacked a Justin Verlander offering to center — travelling an estimated 428 feet — to give the Brew Crew a 4-1 lead. The 26-year-old backstop has been sensational in 2024 with seven homers, 37 RBI and an OPS of .990. That’s a star level of offense even before you consider that he’s doing it as a catcher. • Abrams has three-hit game Saturday
CJ Abrams went 3-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI against the Phillies on Saturday.

Advice: Abrams scored the first run of the game on Joey Meneses’ RBI single in the first inning and gave the Nationals a 2-1 lead with an RBI single of his own in the fifth inning. He has struggled since his hot start to the season, but has his average up to .271 after the three hits on Saturday. Abrams is certainly hitting better than he did last season when he hit .245 with less power. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:40 pm

    • Sanchez strikes out eight in no-decision
Christopher Sanchez allowed two earned runs and struck out eight and got a no-decision in the Phillies’ 4-3 victory over the Nationals on Saturday.

Advice: It was Sanchez’ third start with at least eight strikeouts in nine tries this season. He lowered his ERA to 3.31 on the season, but still only has two wins. The 27-year-old left-hander is scheduled to face the Rockies at Coors Field next weekend.
