      Advice: Gore struggled against the team that drafted him, as the Padres put up multiple runs in the first and fifth innings. The southpaw has lost three of his five starts in June, giving up 18 runs (17 earned) over 26.1 innings.       MacKenzie Gore surrendered five runs in five innings Tuesday in a loss to the Padres.

      Advice: Gore was lucky not to be tossed at the beginning of this one, as he hit Jurickson Profar in the back leg with a pitch right after warnings were issued because of some thoroughly unnecessary jawing and a benches-clearing incident. Gore’s pitch, though, didn’t seem to be intentional. It did lead to an ejection anyway, as Padres manager Mike Shildt was ejected for taking issue with Gore not being tossed.       Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run in a loss to the Blue Jays on Tuesday.

      Advice: Devers’ home run was an absolute shot, traveling 467 feet at 111.2 mph. He also had a 112.6 mph double later in the game.       Jordan Westburg went 4-for-4 with an RBI on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

      Advice: Westburg wound up reaching base safely in all five of his plate appearances on Tuesday night in a high-scoring affair at Camden Yards. The 25-year-old infielder has vastly outperformed expectations in the first half, batting .283 (79-for-279) with 40 runs scored, 13 homers, 46 RBI and six stolen bases across 73 games.       Anthony Santander slugged a solo homer on Tuesday in the Orioles’ loss to the Guardians.

      Advice: Santander went deep off Guardians reliever Sam Hentges in the eighth inning of this one. He’s homered 12 times since the start of June and is up to 21 round-trippers on the year already.       Kyle Tucker (shin) progressed to taking swings on Sunday and could resume running within the next few days.

      Advice: The revelation comes courtesy of a team statement. It’s a welcome relief for fantasy managers as we were honestly starting to wonder whether Tucker was dealing with something more serious than merely a shin contusion. He’ll need at least a couple minor league rehab contests to get back up to speed after he’s ready to get back into game action, but it doesn’t sound like he’s too far away from making it back to Houston.       Tucker (shin) took swings off a tee Sunday and could be cleared to begin running soon, Chandler Rome of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Tucker's recovery from a right shin contusion has dragged on longer than anticipated, but it looks like he's finally turned a corner as he resumes baseball activities. He's more than three weeks removed from suffering the injury and still has some hoops to jump through, so he could require a rehab assignment before rejoining the Astros' active roster.
