  • Tyler Freeman has two hits, HR in win
    Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the White Sox on Tuesday.

    Advice: The home run was Freeman’s seventh of the season to go along with 30 RBI. Despite some concerns about his playing time, Freeman has started five of the last six games in center field for the Guardians. His expected stats still suggest there should be some batting average gains coming for the 25-year-old, but he might never be a real asset in that category.   • Ceddanne Rafaela hits three-run homer in victory
    Ceddanne Rafaela clobbered a three-run homer on Tuesday in the Red Sox’ lopsided win over the Marlins.

    Advice: Rafaela took Marlins rookie starter Valente Bellozo deep to left field for a no-doubter in the fourth inning. It was his ninth round-tripper of the season and first time leaving the yard since June 17. The versatile 23-year-old is on pace for a 20-homer, 20-steal rookie campaign at the moment.   • Launches rehab assignment
    Baez (back) will begin a rehab assignment with Triple-A Toledo on Tuesday.

    Advice: Baez has been out since June 11 while dealing with lumbar inflammation, but he now appears to be on the cusp of returning to the major-league roster. The shortstop will likely play in multiple games with Toledo before being activated from the 10-day injured list. Baez has struggled to a .183/.209/.247 slash line with one home run, 25 RBI, 15 runs scored and six stolen bases over 53 games this season, not providing much value to fantasy managers.   • Corey Seager (hand) able to swing a bat on Tuesday
    Rangers manager Bruce Bochy told reporters Tuesday that Corey Seager remains day-to-day with a left hand contusion.

    Advice: Bochy added that Seager is doing better after being hit by a pitch during Saturday’s game and was able to progress to swinging a bat again. Although he’s not in the lineup for Tuesday’s game against the Padres it certainly sounds like he has a shot at getting back into game action at some point in the coming days.   • Javier Báez (back) starting rehab assignment
    Javier Báez (back) will begin a minor league rehab assignment on Tuesday with Triple-A Toledo.

    Advice: Báez has been on the shelf since mid-June due to back inflammation and will likely need at least a handful of rehab contests to get back up to speed. It would be an understatement to say that his time in Detroit has been a colossal disappointment since signing a six-year, $140 million deal as a free agent back in 2022.   • Dealing with abscessed tooth
    Arcia is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Giants due to an abscessed tooth, Justin Toscano of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.

    David Hamilton is not in the lineup for Tuesday’s series opener against the Marlins.

    Advice: Hamilton grabs a seat on the bench with Marlins rookie Valente Bellozo taking the ball to open Tuesday’s showdown in Miami. The 26-year-old has been forced to split time with fellow youngster Enmanuel Valdez at the keystone over the last few weeks, which probably works well for the Red Sox, but is a thorn in the side for fantasy managers. It’ll be difficult for him to find everyday playing time unless injuries strike Boston’s outfield, which would lead to Ceddanne Rafaela moving from shortstop to center field.     Seager (wrist) is out of the lineup for Tuesday's game against the Padres.

    Advice: The 30-year-old has had X-rays and an MRI come back negative since being struck in the left wrist by a pitch Saturday in Baltimore, but he'll still sit for the second straight game Tuesday.
