• Pops eighth homer
Arcia went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in Sunday's win over the Mets.

Advice: The shortstop extended his hitting streak to eight games with a seventh-inning shot off Ryne Stanek, one of four Atlanta long balls in a 9-2 rout. Arcia may be finding his 2023 form at the plate -- over the last 13 contests, he's slashing .325/.386/.475 with two of his eight homers on the season. Rotowire.com Monday, 7:14 am

  • Racking up extra-base hits
DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: DeJong blasted a two-run homer in the seventh inning for his 18th home run of the season. That extended his hitting streak to four games, during which he has three extra-base hits, the other two being doubles. DeJong is a potential trade candidate, but the White Sox are giving him near-everyday playing time for the time being at a combination of third base and shortstop. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:30 pm

  • Hits for cycle
Edwards hit for the cycle while going 4-for-4 with a walk in Sunday's loss to Milwaukee. He scored two runs and had one RBI.

Advice: Edwards knocked a leadoff home run on the first pitch of the game, the first long ball of his MLB career, and he finished off the cycle with an infield single in the ninth inning. It's only the second cycle in franchise history, with Luis Arraez collecting the first in April 2023. Since rejoining the Marlins in early July, Edwards has gone 31-for-78 (.397) with six extra-base hits over 22 games. He owns a .956 OPS through 105 plate appearances overall. • Willi Castro has three hits in win
Willi Castro went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored in a 5-0 win over the Tigers on Sunday.

Advice: Castro had three singles and didn’t swipe a base, but scoring twice isn’t so bad. The 27-year-old continues to lead off against right-handed pitching but had struggled in July coming into today, hitting just .189 in 19 games with no stolen bases. Perhaps this could be a turning point. Rotoworld Sunday, 5:12 pm

  • Xavier Edwards completes cycle after first MLB HR
Xavier Edwards hit for the cycle and drew a walk against the Brewers on Sunday.

Advice: Incredible, and it comes in a game in which his teammates did absolutely nothing; he had 10 total bases and the rest of the lineup combined for four. Edwards came into the day with no homers or triples in 54 big-league games. He was, however, batting .349 in 24 games this year. He’s up to .379/.462/.494 after this. As weak of a bet as he is in the power categories, he’ll probably keep amassing fantasy value anyway. Rotoworld Sunday, 2:59 pm

  • Reaches base four times
Castro went 3-for-4 with a walk and two runs scored Sunday against the Tigers.

Advice: Castro entered Sunday's contest mired in a 7-for-45 slump but broke out to help spark the Twins offense during their 5-0 win. His slash line now stands at .263/.353/.411 with 24 doubles, five triples, seven homers, 34 RBI, 60 runs and 10 steals in 17 attempts over 425 plate appearances. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:32 pm

  • Nearing batting practice
Manager Dave Roberts said Sunday that Betts (hand) continues to swing a bat and could soon be cleared to take batting practice, Fabian Ardaya of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The 31-year-old was cleared to resume taking swings last week and has since progressed to hitting soft toss and flips. Betts still has significant work to do in his rehab program, but a return in mid-August doesn't appear to be out of the question. Rotowire.com Sunday, 2:15 pm

  • Paul DeJong socks 18th homer in loss
Paul DeJong went 1-for-4 with a two-run home run on Sunday against the Mariners.

Advice: DeJong made a costly error early in this game which gifted the Mariners two runs, but then got them back with his own two-run shot off to end Bryce Miller’s outing. Those 18 long balls are the most DeJong has hit in a season since 2021, when he hit just 19, as he’s made the most of his ample playing time with the White Sox. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:56 pm

  • Out of lineup
Brujan is not in the starting lineup for Sunday's series finale against Milwaukee.

Advice: Brujan will begin Sunday's game in the dugout after going 0-for-2 with two walks and one run scored in Saturday's 7-3 win over the Brewers. Nick Gordon will start in center field and bat eighth. Rotowire.com Sunday, 10:19 am
