Josh Smith homers, steals base in victory
Josh Smith went 3-for-4 with a home run, double, two RBI, a stolen base, and a walk in the Rangers’ 9-1 win over the Tigers on Wednesday.
Advice: Smith filled the stat sheet on Wednesday with an excellent day at the plate. He drew a walk in the first inning and stole second. Smith then led off the third with a solo homer off Joey Wentz. He doubled in the fifth and later drove in a run with a base hit in the sixth. The 26-year-old infielder is having a solid season at the plate, hitting .290/.377/.440 with four homers, 30 runs scored, 24 RBI, and four steals across 220 plate appearances.
