• Clubs homer Monday
Profar went 1-for-3 with a two-run home run and a walk in Monday's 5-4 loss to the Rockies.

Advice: Profar has hit safely in eight of 11 games in May, going 13-for-40 (.325) with three homers and 10 RBI this month. The 31-year-old is slashing .320/.402/.517 with seven long balls, 29 RBI, 23 runs scored, eight doubles and two stolen bases over 44 contests. Profar's best season in the majors was the abbreviated 2020 campaign, and he hit just nine homers with 46 RBI over 125 games last year -- he'll likely post stronger marks in 2024, but his current pace will be tough to sustain. • Picks up second steal
Blackmon went 1-for-5 with a stolen base, one RBI and one run scored in Monday's 5-4 win over the Padres.

Advice: Blackmon was part of the Rockies' fourth-inning rally. He drove in a run with a single, stole second and scored an Ezequiel Tovar single. Blackmon is 9-for-22 (.409) with nine RBI and four extra-base hits during his six-game hitting streak. The 37-year-old is slashing .248/.311/.380 with two steals, one home runs, 18 RBI and 17 runs scored over 132 plate appearances this season. Despite a significant drop in his hitting from last year, Blackmon's recent surge has helped him reclaim at least a share of the leadoff spot. Rotowire.com Today, 10:22 pm
  • Joc Pederson gets ejected in eighth inning
Joc Pederson was ejected from Monday’s game in the eighth inning for arguing balls and strikes.

Advice: Pederson was right, not that it matters much. Manager Torey Lovullo was also tossed with the Diamondbacks down 5-4 to the Reds in the eighth. Rotoworld Today, 9:40 pm

  • Kevin Pillar homers in loss to Angels on Monday
Kevin Pillar homered and drove in three runs in a 10-5 loss to the Cardinals on Monday.

Advice: Pillar took Matthew Liberatore deep for a two-run shot. The 35-year-old veteran has gone deep four times in 2024 in just 25 games, and three of them have come in eight games since joining the Halos. A fun “remember some guys” story, but Pillar certainly isn’t worth fantasy consideration at this stage of his career. Rotoworld Today, 9:33 pm

  • Luke Raley homers, plates three in win over Royals
Luke Raley homered, drove in three runs and stole a base Monday in a 6-2 win over the Royals.

Advice: Raley has been excellent in May, and this was easily his best game in a Mariner uniform. The outfielder scored a two-run homer off Brady Singer in the second inning, and he drove in another with an RBI single in the third. The outfielder also stole his second base of the season, and he’s athletic enough to project more if he can continue to get on base. At this point, it sure seems likely that Raley is going to see much more consistent playing time than he did to begin the year. Rotoworld Today, 9:17 pm

  • Doubles, triples, drives in three
Rosario went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, three RBI and a run scored during Monday's win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Rosario's two-out, two-run triple in the first put the Rays on the board while his run-scoring double in the eighth provided the Rays with their final margin of victory. Rosario has found a regular role as the top utility man for Tampa, batting .296 with a .312 on-base percentage, six doubles, three triples, two homers, 18 RBI, 12 runs and five stolen bases over 138 plate appearances. • Blasts 10th homer
O'Neill went 1-for-3 with a three-run home run and a walk during Monday's loss to the Rays.

Advice: O'Neill's first-inning three-run blast provided all the scoring for the Red Sox on Monday. It was the first homer since April 27 for the slumping O'Neill, who hit .333 with nine homers over his first 19 games, but had gone just 7-for-44 (.159) with six walks and 22 strikeouts over the most recent 12 game homer-less stretch prior to Monday. • Could return this weekend
Canzone (shoulder), who took a full game's worth of plate appearances as the designated hitter for Triple-A Tacoma on Sunday, could be activated ahead of the start of the Mariners' next road trip Friday, MLB.com reports.

Advice: Canzone went 2-for-5 with an RBI double Sunday for the Rainiers after also lacing a two-bagger in his rehab debut Saturday. Canzone's timing at the plate already seems to be in good shape, and if he continues without any physical setbacks, it appears he could be ready to jump back into action with the Mariners beginning Friday against the Orioles. • Lorenzen tosses seven scoreless innings Monday
Michael Lorenzen threw seven shutout innings and picked up a no-decision in the Rangers’ loss to the Guardians Monday.

Advice: Lorenzen allowed only one hit, walked four and struck out four. The Rangers failed to support him as the offense couldn’t score a run and the bullpen allowed seven once he was out of the game. Lorenzen lowered his ERA to 3.75 on the season. The 32-year-old right-hander is set to face the Angels at home this weekend. Rotoworld Today, 8:31 pm
