• Shifts to 60-day IL
The Twins transferred Stewart (shoulder) to the 60-day injured list Wednesday.

Advice: The right-hander has been on the shelf with shoulder tendinitis since early May, so the move to the 60-day IL won't affect his return timeline. Stewart has progressed to facing live batters this week and could soon begin a rehab assignment. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:53 pm

  • Twins transfer Brock Stewart to 60-day IL
Twins transferred RHP Brock Stewart to the 60-day injured list.

Advice: There haven’t been any setbacks in the 32-year-old hurler’s recovery from shoulder tendinitis, this was merely done as a procedural move to free up a spot on the team’s 40-man roster for the promotion of Brooks Lee on Wednesday. Stewart is tentatively scheduled to rejoin the Twins’ bullpen before the end of July. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:42 pm

  • Rockies recall Peter Lambert from Triple-A
Rockies recalled RHP Peter Lambert from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Advice: He’ll take the place of Riley Pint in the Rockies’ bullpen after Pint was optioned to Triple-A on Wednesday. Lambert has struggled in his chances with the big-league club this season, registering a troublesome 6.47 ERA, 1.69 WHIP and a 26/18 K/BB ratio over 32 innings in 15 appearances (three starts). He’ll continue to give them length in a depleted Rockies’ bullpen. Rotoworld Yesterday, 1:30 pm

The Rockies recalled Lambert from Triple-A Albuquerque on Wednesday

Advice: After making the Rockies' Opening Day roster, Lambert has bounced between Colorado and Albuquerque and has spent the last month at Triple-A. He'll take the spot of Riley Pint on the active roster. Lambert owns a 6.47 ERA across 32.0 innings with the Rockies this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:46 pm

  • Back in big leagues
The Rays recalled Sterner from Triple-A Durham on Wednesday, Ryan Bass of Bally Sports Sun reports.

Advice: He will take the roster spot vacated by Aaron Civale, who has been traded to the Brewers. Sterner has made two appearances out of the Rays' bullpen this season, allowing two runs (one earned) with a 4:1 K:BB over four innings. He'll be used in low-leverage spots. • Perfect for 18th save
Diaz picked up the save Tuesday against the Yankees, striking out one across a perfect ninth inning.

Advice: Diaz needed only nine pitches to retire Trent Grisham, Austin Wells and Anthony Volpe in order Tuesday. Diaz has fired five consecutive scoreless innings and is up to 18 saves on the season, which is tied for eighth most in baseball. Despite the strong save total, Diaz owns a 4.60 ERA across 31.1 innings. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:50 pm
  • Perfect in non-save outing
Finnegan struck out one over a perfect inning in Tuesday's extra-inning loss to the Mets.

Advice: Finnegan entered in the top of the ninth in a 2-2 game and fired a perfect frame. The 32-year-old has delivered four consecutive scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk over that stretch. Finnegan owns the third-most saves in baseball with 22. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 11:48 pm
  • Craig Kimbrel slams door on Mariners on Tuesday
Craig Kimbrel slammed the door on the Mariners on Tuesday night, retiring all three hitters that he faced in the ninth inning to preserve a two-run advantage.

Advice: It wasn’t the smoothest of innings for Kimbrel, as he plunked Luke Raley to start the frame and also hit Jorge Polanco with one out in the inning, but he rebounded to get Dominic Canzone on a ground out to first and Julio Rodriguez on strikes to end it. Aside from a small blip early in the season, Kimbrel has been exceptional in the ninth inning for the Orioles this season. He has now converted 20 of his first 24 save opportunities on the season while posting a 2.30 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and a 46/14 K/BB ratio over 31 1/3 innings in 35 appearances. Rotoworld Tuesday, 10:29 pm
  • Collects 20th save
Kimbrel hit two batters and struck out two in a scoreless and hitless inning to earn the save in Tuesday's 2-0 win over the Mariners.

Advice: Kimbrel was a little wild, but he didn't let the extra traffic on the bases rattle him. After allowing just two runs (one earned) over 9.1 innings in June, he's off to a decent start in July, with this outing also being his 20th save of the campaign. Overall, he's at a 2.30 ERA, 0.96 WHIP and 46:14 K:BB through 31.1 innings this year. Rotowire.com Tuesday, 9:44 pm
