Luis Medina gives up six runs in loss to Blue Jays
Luis Medina surrendered six runs with one strikeout over 4 2/3 innings in a loss to the Blue Jays on Saturday.
Advice: Medina struggled to find the zone in the opening frame, walking the bases loaded before Danny Jansen brought a run in on a sacrifice fly. He was able to escape the inning with just the one run scored and tossed three more scoreless innings until he unraveled in the fifth. Kevin Kiermaier led off with a solo homer before three doubles, a walk, and a base hit made it six runs on Medina. He’d be pulled with two outs in the inning, ending his day with a 5.23 ERA,, 1.35 WHIP, and a 7/7 K/BB ratio across 10 1/3 innings. He’s currently in line for a matchup against the Twins in Minnesota on Thursday.
