    • Jhoan Duran picks up eighth save vs. Royals
Jhoan Duran earned his eighth save of the season in Tuesday’s win over the Royals.

Advice: Back-to-back hits to kick off the ninth got Duran in trouble early, but he was able to buckle down and retire his remaining batters to earn the win for the Twins, who have now won six of their last seven. Duran now has eight saves on the season and has yet to blow a save in any of his outings. Rotoworld Tuesday, 7:48 pm

    • Secures seventh save
Duran picked up the save Monday against Kansas City. He pitched one-third of an inning with no strikeouts, allowing one unearned run on two hits.

Advice: Duran entered to collect the last out with runners on second and third and a four-run lead. The Twins reliever barely survived as a hit-by-pitch, two hits and a fielding error allowed three runs to cross. However, after all that chaos, Duran promptly retired Bobby Witt via a one-pitch groundout with runners on second and third to walk away victorious. The flamethrowing righty has secured the last four Minnesota saves, posting a 2.70 ERA and 3:1 K:BB over 3.1 innings during that span. Rotowire.com Monday, 3:28 pm

    • Jhoan Duran hangs on for one-out save Monday
Jhoan Duran notched a one-out save on Monday against the Royals.

Advice: Technically it’ll go down as the seventh save of the season for Duran as he came on to face MJ Melendez with the potential tying run in the on-deck circle. Things got interesting shortly afterwards as he wound up hitting Melendez with a two-strike pitch before ensuing batter Dairon Blanco followed with a run-scoring single that put the potential tying run on-base. A throwing error by third baseman Willi Castro allowed another run to cross the plate, making it a one-run ballgame in the process, before Duran retired Bobby Witt Jr. on a soft comebacker to end the contest. • Allows two runs in no-decision
Manaea did not factor into the decision Sunday, allowing two runs, five hits and a walk over five innings against the Giants. He struck out six.

Advice: Manaea threw 88 pitches, allowing single runs in the second and third innings prior to exiting the game after five innings. He was in line for a tough-luck loss but was bailed out when the Mets scored three in the bottom of the ninth for the come-from-behind victory. Manaea entered the game on six days rest and tallied his seventh-consecutive start of allowing three or fewer runs. Through 10 starts, Manaea has a solid ERA of 3.16 with a 1.29 WHIP and 47 strikeouts over 51.1 innings. His next start is tentatively scheduled to take place next weekend when the Mets travel to Arizona to take on the Diamondbacks. Rotowire.com Sunday, 5:46 pm

    • Sean Manaea solid across five innings
Sean Manaea allowed two earned runs in five innings on Sunday against the Giants. He struck out six and walked one in a no-decision.

Advice: Both of Manaea’s runs were incredibly frustrating: an errant pick-off by catcher Tomás Nido to third allowed Matt Chapman to come home and then nine-hitter Brett Wisely hit the third home run of his career. Still, Manaea continued what’s been a great start to the season despite an inability to pitch deep into games. The Giants swung and missed at his sinker 10 times on Sunday, the most whiffs that pitch has gotten in any game for Manaea this season. He’ll take a 3.16 ERA into his next start against the Diamondbacks. Rotoworld Sunday, 1:10 pm

    • Nails down 15th save
Holmes picked up the save over the Padres on Saturday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

Advice: Holmes made it look easy Saturday, retiring all three batters he faced in the ninth on a total of just seven pitches to record his 15th save of the season. The right-handed reliever has now converted his last two save opportunities after surrendering four runs to the Mariners on May 20, striking out at least one batter in each of those appearances. Holmes sits just one save behind Emmanuel Clase (16) for the American League lead after Saturday's outing. Rotowire.com Sunday, 6:40 am

    • Notches sixth save
Duran threw a perfect ninth inning with one strikeout against the Rangers on Saturday to earn his sixth save of the season.

Advice: The Twins grabbed the lead in the bottom of the eighth on an Alex Kirilloff three-run homer, and Duran was there the next half inning to close the door. He retired the side in order on just eight pitches and is now the team leader in saves with six to Griffin Jax's five, even though Duran missed the first month of the season due to an oblique injury. Duran has been used occasionally in the eighth since making his return, but he's still clearly the preferred closing option in Minnesota when manager Rocco Baldelli has the luxury of holding him back for the ninth. • Holmes picks up 15th save on Saturday
Clay Holmes tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Padres on Saturday.

Advice: Holmes pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning and struck out one on his way to his 15th save of the season, which is second among closers in all of baseball. He blew a save earlier this week, but has since bounced back with a four-out save and a clean ninth inning save. Holmes figures to continue racking up saves the way the Yankees’ season is going. • Jhoan Duran locks down sixth save against Rangers
Jhoan Duran struck out one batter in a clean ninth inning to earn the save against the Rangers on Saturday.

Advice: After the Twins came back to take a two-run lead in the bottom of the eighth, Duran was summoned to close it out in the top of the ninth. He struck out one batter in a clean frame on just eight pitches, shutting the door on the Rangers for his sixth save. Rotoworld Saturday, 2:10 pm
