      Freddy Peralta allowed two runs over five innings and struck out six versus the Rangers on Monday.

      Advice: Peralta got 15 whiffs tonight, but he ran up a pitch count of 104 in five innings, preventing him from working any deeper into the game. He’s finished six innings just once in his last six starts, which is a real problem given that he’s supposed to be the ace of a rotation that’s quite shorthanded at the moment.     • Trevor Megill records 16th save for Brewers
      Trevor Megill was perfect in the ninth in earning his 16th save Monday against the Rangers.

      Advice: Remember when it was Abner Uribe and then Joel Payamps getting saves for the Brewers. Megill didn’t earn his first until Apr. 25, so all 16 of his have come in a two-month span. Rotoworld Monday, 9:15 pm
       
    • Helsley picks up 27th save against Braves Monday
      Ryan Helsley allowed two runs and picked up the save against the Braves on Monday.

      Advice: It was an eventful ninth inning in St. Louis. Helsley entered with a 4-1 lead and proceeded to load the bases on two walks and a hit. With one out, Ramon Laureano singled to make it a 4-2 game and Travis d’Arnaud hit a sacrifice fly to bring the Braves within a run. Helsley then struck out Zack Short on a slider to end the ballgame. His ERA is up to 2.83 now, but fantasy managers can’t complain with 27 saves already in the bank. Rotoworld Monday, 7:17 pm

      Helsley picked up the save Sunday against San Francisco, striking out two batters during a perfect ninth inning.

      Advice: Helsley has two more saves than any other closer and is now 26-for-27 on save chances this season. While he's been able to dodge blown saves, Helsley has had to work through plenty of trouble lately, allowing multiple baserunners in seven of his last 12 appearances.       Toglia went 1-for-3 with a solo home run during Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Nationals.

      Advice: Toglia got the Rockies on the board first, launching a solo homer off Jake Irvin in the second inning. However, Colorado would go scoreless the rest of the way, and a pair of ninth-inning runs by the Nationals resulted in a Rockies loss.       Irvin didn't factor into the decision Sunday against the Rockies, allowing one run on three hits and one walk with 10 strikeouts across six innings.

      Advice: Irvin tied his career high in strikeouts Sunday, matching his K total from a May 28 start against Atlanta. The lone run against the 27-year-old came on a solo home run by Michael Toglia in the second inning -- the game's lone run until the Nationals' two-run ninth inning. Irvin has logged a quality start in five of his last six starts and holds a 2.06 ERA with 37 strikeouts across 35.0 innings during that stretch.       Smith went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Sunday's 4-0 win over Kansas City.

      Advice: Smith tagged Sam Long for a solo shot in the seventh inning, marking Smith's third home run in the last five games. During that stretch, he's 7-for-13 with six RBI.     • Michael Toglia homers in loss
      Michael Toglia went 1-for-3 with a walk and a solo home run in a loss to the Nationals on Sunday.

      Advice: Toglia took Jake Irvin deep 462 feet at 111 mph for his seventh home run of the season. He also struck out twice and is hitting just .194 on the season. The 25-year-old has shown solid plate discipline and good pop in the minors and is hitting 16-for-61 (.262) in June with three home runs and 13 RBI. He also has 23 strikeouts in 17 games. It’s unlikely this kind of production will last, but when he has weeks where he plays all his games at Coors Field, he can be added in deeper formats for teams in need of power.     • Jake Irvin lights out against Rockies
      Jake Irvin allowed one run on three hits in six innings in a no-decision against the Rockies on Sunday.

      Advice: Irvin also struck out 10 and walked just one. His only blemish was a solo home run to Michael Toglia in the second inning. It was a tremendous effort for the 27-year-old in Coors Field, posting a 39 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. Irvin has let his curveball lead of late, which is a great decision since he commands the pitch well and he can also miss bats with it. He likely will remain a high-end streamer rather than a must-roster player, but that can still be valuable with offense down around the league. He should be started next week against the Rays.
