    • Ohtani gets Tungsten O’Doyle’d against former team
Shohei Ohtani homered and reached four times in a 3-2 loss to the Angels on Friday in 10 innings.

Advice: We’re used to seeing those type of efforts from Ohtani being wasted, but usually it was for the Angels, not against them. The 29-year-old absolutely destroyed a solo blast off Matt Moore in the fifth for his 22nd homer of the year and 55th RBI of the season. The only blemish was a caught stealing for Ohtani, but that was just the second of the season. Rotoworld 31 minutes ago

    • X-rays come back clean
X-rays came back negative on Moreno's thumb following Friday's game against the Phillies, Jody Jackson of Bally Sports Arizona reports.

Advice: Moreno hurt his thumb on a slide early in Friday's contest but remained in the game long enough to tally his third homer of the season. He was ultimately pulled in the sixth inning. Manager Torey Lovullo noted after the contest that Moreno is likely to avoid the injured list but would have to see how he is feeling Saturday before any final determination is made. • X-Rays return negative for Gabriel Moreno (thumb)
Diamondbacks’ manager Torey Lovullo told reporters after Friday’s game that X-rays came back negative for any structural damage on the injured thumb of catcher Gabriel Moreno.

Advice: Lovullo is hopeful that Moreno will be able to avoid a stint on the injured list but noted that he’ll have to wait and see how he’s feeling on Saturday morning to make a full determination. In the meantime, expect Tucker Barnhart to draw a start behind the plate on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 7:30 pm

    • Gabriel Moreno diagnosed with sprained left thumb
The Diamondbacks announced that Gabriel Moreno was removed from Friday’s game due to a sprained left thumb.

Advice: The severity of the sprain — and how much time (if any) that Moreno may miss — remain up in the air. Tucker Barnhart replaced him in Friday’s contest against the Phillies and would be in line for increased run behind the plate if Moreno is forced to miss any substantial time. • Leaves game with sprained thumb
Moreno exited Friday's game against the Phillies due to a sprained left thumb.

Advice: Tucker Barnhart replaced Moreno behind home plate for the bottom of the sixth inning. Before exiting, Moreno went 2-for-3 with a two-run home run in the top of the third inning. Clarity on the severity of Moreno's injury will be known following Friday's contest. Rotowire.com Today, 6:04 pm

    • Gabriel Moreno exits Friday with apparent injury
Gabriel Moreno was removed from Friday’s game against the Phillies due to an apparent injury.

Advice: No word yet on exactly what happened here, but the 24-year-old backstop was replaced by Tucker Barnhart when the Diamondbacks took the field in the sixth inning. Earlier in the game, Moreno crushed the hardest hit ball of his career — a titanic 433-foot (104.6 mph EV) blast to center field. Stay tuned, as the Diamondbacks should have an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Today, 6:00 pm

    • Luis Campusano (thumb) considered day-to-day
Luis Campusano was scratched from the Padres’ starting lineup on Friday night due to a left thumb contusion.

Advice: Fortunately, the injury isn’t believed to be serious, and the 25-year-old backstop is considered day-to-day. Kyle Higashioka is starting in his place behind the dish on Friday night and will carry the load until Campusano is ready to return. Rotoworld Today, 3:58 pm

    • Scratched due to left thumb injury
Campusano (thumb) has been scratched from Friday's lineup against the Brewers, AJ Cassavell of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Campusano was initially slated to start behind home plate and bat eighth, but manager Mike Shildt said the catcher was scratched due to "soreness and bruising" in his left thumb, and it's unclear whether a stint on the IL is needed. Kyle Higashioka will instead start at catcher and bat ninth against Brewers right-hander Colin Rea. Rotowire.com Today, 3:36 pm

    • Luis Campusano scratched from Padres lineup
Luis Campusano was scratched from the Padres’ starting lineup on Friday night.

Advice: No word yet as to the reason for the late scratch, but it’ll be Kyle Higashioka starting in his place behind the dish and batting ninth against Colin Rea and the Brewers on Friday evening in San Diego. Stay tuned. Rotoworld Today, 3:29 pm
