• Recalled, placed on 15-day IL
Waguespack was recalled from Triple-A Durham and placed on the 15-day injured list due to a shoulder injury Monday, Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times reports.

Advice: Topkin notes that the club has elected to promote Waguespack and place him on the injured list so that if he were to have a setback and require a longer shutdown period, Tampa Bay could shift him to the 60-day IL to clear up a spot on the 40-day roster. The club has yet to disclose any details on Waguespack's injury. Rotowire.com 10 minutes ago
  • Rays recall Jacob Waguespack; place him on injured list
Rays recalled RHP Jacob Waguespack and placed him on the 15-day injured list with a shoulder strain.

Advice: This is a weird one. Waguespack is called up just to be placed on the injured list, with Marc Topkin of the Tampa Bay Times explaining it that they can move him to the 60-day injured list if there’s a setback which would create a space on the 40-man roster. • Tom Murphy (knee) expected to miss 4-6 weeks
Giants manager Bob Melvin told reporters Monday that Tom Murphy (knee) is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.

Advice: Murphy has not been able to stay healthy for much of his career, and unfortunately, the backstop will miss a considerable amount of time with his knee sprain. The good news is that the 33-year-old won’t need surgery, but it’s a a Grade 1 to 2 sprain that will keep him out for the foreseeable future. Rotoworld 16 minutes ago

  • Mitch Keller pitches complete game versus Angels
Mitch Keller pitched his second-career complete game on Monday and picked up his third win of the season against the Angels.

Advice: Pittsburgh’s ace went the distance on Monday as he allowed just one earned run on five hits and stuck out five. His lone run came off a solo homer from Zach Neto. Keller threw 109 total pitches with 75 of them called strikes. In the final frame, Keller got Mickey Moniak and Taylor Ward to strike out and then had Willie Calhoun pop up to left center field. It was an efficient outing from the right-hander as he’ll look to improve his 4.41 ERA against the Cubs this weekend at PNC Park. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

  • Tyler Anderson picks up fourth loss against Pirates
Tyler Anderson allowed four earned runs in 6 1/3 innings in a loss against the Pirates on Monday.

Advice: Anderson has recorded a loss in four of his past five starts after picking up back-to-back wins in his first two starts of the season. His ERA has ballooned from 1.78 to 2.74 over his last two starts as the 34-year-old has given up 3 or more earned runs in those contests. After a hot start to the season, it appears regression has hit Anderson, which was to be expected. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

  • Edward Olivares’ grand slam lifts PIT over LAA
Edward Olivares went 2-for-4 with a home run, double and four RBI in Monday’s 4-1 win over the Angels.

Advice: Olivares was responsible for all of Pittsburgh’s runs when he hit a grand slam off Tyler Anderson in the third inning. The 28-year-old now has three hits in his past two games after going hitless in his four previous games. He’s only hitting .218 on the season after he got off to a hot start at the beginning of the season. Rotoworld 17 minutes ago

  • Blake Snell (adductor) to throw to hitters Tuesday
Blake Snell (adductor) will face live hitters for three innings Tuesday.

Advice: Snell came away from his bullpen session over the weekend well, and will now progress to facing hitters in as simulated setting. The southpaw could begin a rehab assignment a few days later if that assignment goes the way it’s supposed to. Snell could be back with the Giants by the end of the month. Rotoworld 18 minutes ago

  • Keeps cruising Monday
Wentz tossed two scoreless innings of relief in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians. He allowed one hit and struck out four.

Advice: Wentz relieved starter Jack Flaherty and kept Detroit in the game, as the lefty continued his excellent start to the season. He lowered his ERA to 0.68 and now has 18 strikeouts across 13.1 innings. Wentz flopped as a starter last year but has reinvented himself as an effective long reliever. It's not the most fantasy-friendly role, but he could help with ratios, strikeouts and the occasional win in deeper formats. Rotowire.com 31 minutes ago

  • Provides all the offense Monday
Greene went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Monday's 2-1 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Greene got Detroit on the board early, belting a leadoff home run against Triston McKenzie in the top of the first inning. However, he and his teammates went quiet from there. Fantasy managers won't mind too much, as the young outfielder now has four home runs over his last seven games, which has pushed him up to nine long balls for the season. Greene hit a career-high 11 home runs last year, and it looks like he should fly past that number in 2024. Rotowire.com 35 minutes ago
