    • Produces lone run
Gorman went 1-for-4 with a solo home run during Tuesday's 2-1 loss to the Pirates.

Advice: Neither team scored a run in the first eight innings of Tuesday's contest, with the Pirates scoring a pair of runs in the top of the ninth. Down 2-0, Gorman tried to kick start a Cardinals comeback, leading off with a solo homer, but St. Louis couldn't plate the game-tying run. Since the start of June, Gorman is 10-for-38 (.263) with five homers, eight RBI and seven runs scored. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:52 pm

    • Gabriel Moreno goes 3-for-5, doubles twice
Gabriel Moreno finished 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI against the Angels on Tuesday.

Advice: Both doubles left his bat at 106 mph. The second, hit 407 feet to center, would have been a homer in 18 ballparks. Moreno has been quite a disappointment this season, and it seems unlikely that he’ll wind up building on last year’s modest power numbers. Still, he should easily better his current .240 average the rest of the way. Rotoworld Yesterday, 11:49 pm
    • Takes loss against Pirates
Helsley (2-3) took the loss Tuesday against Pittsburgh, allowing two runs on one hit and two walks with a strikeout over one inning.

Advice: Helsley took the mound in the top of the ninth with the score 0-0, but couldn't keep the game at a stalemate. The 29-year-old walked Jack Suwinski, yielded a single to Andrew McCutchen and walked Bryan Reynolds to load the bases with no outs. Suwinski and McCutchen ended up coming around to score before Helsley was able to record three outs, marking the closer's first loss since April 19 and bumping his ERA up from 2.25 to 2.79 through 29.0 innings. • Walks off Chicago
Lowe went 1-for-5 with a three-run homer in Tuesday's 5-3 win over the Cubs.

Advice: After the Rays tied the game earlier in the ninth, Lowe launched a 3-2 splitter from Hector Neris into the right-field bleachers for a three-run homer, giving Tampa Bay a 5-2 victory. It's the third homer for Lowe this season and his second in six games -- he's gone 6-for-23 (.261) with 10 RBI in that span. Overall, the 29-year-old second-baseman is batting .205 with a .711 OPS, 18 RBI and 11 runs scored through 26 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:36 pm
    • Jesús Luzardo battles through win over Mets
Jesús Luzardo allowed two runs on four hits in 5 2/3 innings in a win over the Mets on Tuesday.

Advice: Luzardo had four strikeouts to just one walk while inducing 16 whiffs on 49 swings for a 33 percent whiff rate and 32 percent CSW. He also struggled to command both his slider and changeup on the day, posting sub-40 percent zone rates on both pitches. The left-hander was pulled at 91 pitches with one runner on in the sixth inning. This was an important start for Luzardo’s trade value as the 26th-year-old now has a 5.11 ERA on the season heading into another good matchup against the Nationals this weekend. • Brandon Lowe hits game-winning home run
Brandon Lowe went 1-for-5 with a game-winning home run in a 5-2 win over the Cubs on Tuesday.

Advice: Lowe had been hitless in the game before coming to the plate in a tie game in the ninth and belting a 287-foot home run off Hector Neris for his third home run on the season. Lowe is now 8-for-30 in June with two home runs and 10 RBI while playing most days for the Rays. His batting average will likely never be overly high, but he does tend to get hot for stretches and the power is certainly real. Rotoworld Yesterday, 7:27 pm
    • Nolan Gorman hits 15th homer in loss to Pirates
Nolan Gorman went 1-for-4 with a home run in the Cardinals’ loss to the Pirates on Tuesday.

Advice: Gorman’s solo blast in the bottom of the ninth, marked his 15th homer of the season. It was also the only run the Cardinals plated on the evening, as they spent much of the night being locked down by Paul Skenes and the Pirates’ bullpen. Gorman has just three hits in his last five games and is slashing .265/.342/.618 on the month.

    • Bobby Miller to make rehab start Thursday at AAA
Bobby Miller will make another minor league rehab start on Thursday for Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Advice: Dodgers manager Dave Roberts told reporters that Miller will return to Los Angeles if he gets through this latest rehab outing without any issues. The 25-year-old righty has been on the shelf since mid-April due to right shoulder inflammation, but it sounds like he’s really close to making it back. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:12 pm

    • Geared up for another rehab start
Miller (shoulder) will make another rehab start with Triple-A Oklahoma City on Thursday, Juan Toribio of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Miller was effective in his last outing with Oklahoma City, pitching four innings, allowing one run on four hits and two walks while striking out two batters Friday. Manager Dave Roberts said that if all goes well Thursday, it'll be Miller's final appearance of his rehab assignment before he'll return to the major-league roster. The 25-year-old has been on the 15-day injured list since April 13 due to right shoulder inflammation, but Miller now appears to be on the doorstep of making his return after two months away from the playing with the Dodgers.
