    • Smacks fifth homer
Diaz went 1-for-4 with a three-run home run in Tuesday's 8-5 win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Diaz's third-inning blast gave the Astros a 6-1 lead, which was ultimately enough for the win. The catcher sat out the first two games of June, and he's responded with homers in back-to-back contests after going 39 contests without a long ball. He's up to five homers, 28 RBI, 20 runs scored, 10 doubles and a .249/.277/.383 slash line through 213 plate appearances this season. With his bat coming around, Diaz should be able to maintain a starting role at catcher over Victor Caratini. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:55 pm

    • Slugs 10th homer
De La Cruz went 1-for-4 with a solo home run in Tuesday's 4-1 win over the Rockies.

Advice: De La Cruz snapped a 21-game homer drought with his third-inning blast, which was his 10th long ball of the year. During the power outage, he hit just .169 with four doubles, though he still managed to pick up seven stolen bases. The speedy infielder's slump has dropped his season slash line to .233/.329/.426 with 26 RBI and 39 runs scored over 61 contests, but he also leads the majors by a wide margin with 32 steals. • Yainer Diaz homers, drives in three vs. Cardinals
Yainer Diaz went 1-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in Tuesday’s win over the Cardinals.

Advice: Diaz put the exclamation point on a four-run third for the Astros when he sent a 367-foot shot to deep right field to put the Astros up 6-1. The homer marked Diaz’s fifth of the season, as he’s now homered in back-to-back games while driving in five runs over that span. Diaz’s three-RBI performance upped his RBI total to 28 on the season, which is good for fourth-most on the team this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:56 pm

    • Notches another save Tuesday
Neris worked around a walk to toss a scoreless ninth inning and record the save in Tuesday's 7-6 win over the White Sox.

Advice: Neris ceded a one-out walk, then watched pinch-runner Duke Ellis swipe second. However, the veteran reliever picked off Ellis to shut down any chance of a rally by the White Sox. Neris now has eight saves in 10 chances this season to go with a solid 2.86 ERA. He's earned a little job security as the Cubs' closer given his strong play, particularly with Opening Day closer Adbert Alzolay (forearm) on the 60-day IL. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:45 pm
    • Snares another win
Burnes (6-2) picked up the win Tuesday against Toronto, allowing one run on four hits and one walk across seven innings. He struck out five.

Advice: The lone run against Burnes came on a George Springer solo homer in the seventh frame. Burnes hasn't allowed more than three runs in a start this season and has logged eight straight quality starts. On the year, Burnes owns a 2.25 ERA with 76 strikeouts across 79.2 innings and is tied for the league lead in quality starts. Burnes is scheduled for a road start against the Rays on Sunday. • Elly De La Cruz hits 10th homer in Reds’ win
Elly De La Cruz hit his 10th homer Tuesday in the victory over the Rockies.

Advice: We’re not sure De La Cruz has pulled out of his lengthy slump just yet, but according to xwOBA, he has performed better these last 10-14 days than he did during the first three weeks of May. The homer tonight was his first since May 11. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:26 pm
    • Exits early Tuesday
Flaherty was removed from Tuesday's game against the Rangers due to back tightness, Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press reports.

Advice: Flaherty had cruised through five shutout innings and thrown just 60 pitches before being suddenly pulled from the game. Manager A.J. Hinch said after the contest that the team still does not know the severity of the right-hander's injury, but the Tigers will presumably continue to run tests on his back and have an update on his status within the next couple of days. • Jack Flaherty left start due to back tightness
Jack Flaherty was removed from Tuesday’s start against the Rangers due to back tightness.

Advice: Flaherty said after the game that he thinks he’ll be able to make his next start, which was already due to come with a couple of extra days off. The 28-year-old righty has been outstanding this season in his Tigers debut and was lifted from Tuesday’s outing against the Rangers after striking out four over five scoreless frames. • Jack Flaherty exits Tuesday with possible injury
Jack Flaherty left Tuesday’s start against the Rangers with a possible injury.

Advice: Flaherty was cruising with four strikeouts and needed just 60 pitches (44 strikes) to navigate five scoreless frames before being lifted from the contest. No word yet on the reason for his removal, but Evan Petzold of the Detroit Free Press adds that Flaherty was spotted stretching in the dugout prior to his early exit. There should be an update on his status shortly. Rotoworld Yesterday, 6:51 pm
