    • Triston McKenzie strikes out nine in no-decision
Triston McKenzie fanned a season-high nine while allowing four runs over five innings Tuesday against the Rockies.

Advice: McKenzie left with a three-run lead, but he was denied a win after that was blown in the sixth. The no-decision left him 0-1 in his last seven starts, even though the Guardians have gone 6-1 in those games. But let’s just keep pretending win-loss records matters in 2024. • Allows four runs at Colorado
McKenzie gave up four runs on six hits and three walks while striking out nine over five innings in a no-decision versus the Rockies on Tuesday.

Advice: Kris Bryant and Elehuris Montero each tagged McKenzie for a two-run home run. Despite those homers, McKenzie left the game in line for the win before the Guardians' bullpen faltered in the sixth inning. The right-hander had limited opponents to three runs or fewer in each of his last seven outings before his step back Tuesday. McKenzie is at a 3.77 ERA, 1.38 WHIP and 54:34 K:BB over 57.1 innings across 11 starts. He's projected to make his next start at home versus the Royals in a tough divisional matchup. • Kodai Senga plays catch on field Tuesday
Kodai Senga (shoulder) played catch on the field prior to the doubleheader against the Dodgers on Tuesday.

Advice: It’s the first time that Senga has been able to play catch since he was shut down with inflammation in his triceps. The right-hander has been on the 60-day injured list since the start of the season because of shoulder issues, and the expectation now is that Senga won’t be able to return for the Mets — and fantasy players — until around the All-Star break. • Likely out until All-Star break
Senga (shoulder) may not be ready to return from the 60-day injured list until after the All-Star break, Will Sammon of The Athletic reports.

Advice: The right-hander has had a couple delays and setbacks during his recovery from a posterior right capsule strain. After getting a cortisone injection late last week, Senga played catch on flat ground for the first time Tuesday, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com. Still, the 31-year-old is essentially back to square one with his throwing program. Given that Senga will likely need about six weeks to ramp back up and get game ready, a mid-July return would seem to be the best-case scenario. Manager Carlos Mendoza acknowledged Monday that it's difficult to put a timeline on Senga's return from the IL. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:38 am

    • Cools off in no-decision
Woo did not factor into the decision Sunday against Washington, allowing three earned runs on five hits and zero walks over six innings. He struck out one.

Advice: Woo finally showed some signs of weakness Sunday, surrendering his first home run of the season and allowing a season-high three earned runs. Even so, the 24-year-old needed just 70 pitches to notch his second consecutive quality start. Despite not topping 80 pitches in any outing this season, Woo sits at 2-0 with a sparkling 1.66 ERA and 0.60 WHIP in 21.2 innings this season. He is tentatively scheduled to start Friday's game against the Angels. Rotowire.com Sunday, 7:08 pm

    • Bryan Woo delivers quality start against Nationals
Bryan Woo pitched six innings and allowed three runs Sunday versus the Nationals.

Advice: Woo got just three missed swings and one strikeout today, but he proved moderately effective in allowing only five hard-hit balls and five hits. The lone extra-base hit he gave up was a solo shot to Joey Gallo. Woo will face the Angels at home next weekend, making him a solid play in mixed leagues. Rotoworld Sunday, 4:59 pm

    • Allows nine hits in win
Montgomery (3-2) earned the win over the Marlins on Saturday, allowing two runs on nine hits and one walk over six innings while striking out four.

Advice: Montgomery didn't get off to a great start, surrendering a leadoff double to open the contest, followed by an RBI single off the bat of Josh Bell two batters later as the Marlins took an early 1-0 lead. However, the lefty would eventually find his groove, hurling 1-2-3 innings in the second and third before later coughing up one more run on a Jazz Chisholm double in the sixth. Montgomery has now gone at least six innings in five of his seven starts this season, though he's also allowed at least seven hits in four of those outings, including a season-high nine hits in Saturday's win. • Twirls gem against Dodgers
Greene (3-2) earned the win over the Dodgers on Saturday, allowing one run on five hits and one walk over six innings. He struck out five.

Advice: Greene routinely touched 99 mph with his fastball and finished with a whopping 23 swings and misses on 107 total pitches. His performance helped secure a surprising series win for the Reds, their first in over a month. While things have been going poorly for the team as a whole, Greene seems to be turning a corner and blossoming into a legitimate frontline starter, having posted a 1.95 ERA and 1.03 WHIP over his last six starts, with only two homers allowed over 37 innings in that span. The right-hander lines up to face the Cubs in Chicago next weekend. Rotowire.com Sunday, 1:17 am

    • Montgomery picks up third win on Saturday
Jordan Montgomery allowed two runs in six innings and picked up the win in the Diamondbacks’ 3-2 victory over the Marlins on Saturday.

Advice: The win was Montgomery’s third of the season. He allowed nine hits, a walk and struck out four. Montgomery completed six innings for the fifth time in seven tries this year. His ERA is now 4.69 on the season. The 31-year-old left-hander is set to face the Mets on the road next week.
