      Advice: Happ's two home runs were the only source of offense for the Cubs in Sunday's loss. He first had a two-run shot off Andrew Kittredge in the seventh before following that up with a solo blast against Ryan Helsley in the ninth.       Paul Goldschmidt clobbered a pair of two-run homers on Sunday night, powering the Cardinals to a 4-3 victory over the visiting Cubs.

      Advice: The 36-year-old slugger opened the scoring in the ballgame with a 424-foot (110.0 mph EV) two-run shot off of Javier Assad in the third inning. He then repeated the process in the fifth inning — that time a 399-foot (104.3 mph) two-run bomb.       Ian Happ blasted a pair of home runs on Sunday night and drove in three, but it wasn’t enough to power the Cubs to victory over the Cardinals in St. Louis.

      Advice: Happ finally got the Cubs on the board with his 409-foot (107.1 mph EV) two-run shot off of right-hander Andrew Kittredge in the seventh inning. He then led off the ninth inning with a 425-foot (107.1 mph EV) solo shot off of Ryan Helsley that pulled the Cubs to within a run at 4-3. That would be as close as they would get.       Phillips (hamstring) retired all three batters he faced -- including two by strikeout -- in a rehab outing with Single-A Rancho Cucamonga on Sunday.

      Advice: Phillips needed just 11 pitches to get through the frame. The appearance was the first for the closer since he went on the 15-day injured list with a right hamstring strain May 5.       Yamamoto (5-2) suffered the loss Sunday against the Reds, allowing four runs on six hits and two walks over five innings. He struck out eight.

      Advice: Yamamoto was done in by a lack of run support combined with a tough-luck four-run third inning. Yamamoto recorded two outs in the third but an infield single by Jake Fraley extended the inning while loading the bases and was followed by consecutive two-run singles by Jonathan India and Nick Martini. The outing marked Yamamoto's first defeat since the first game of the season and came on the heels of an impressive five-game stretch where Yamamoto went 4-0 with a 2.25 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and 31 strikeouts across 32 innings. That would wind up being the Bombers’ only tally until the ninth inning.       Bradish (1-0) earned the win over the White Sox on Sunday, pitching seven no-hit and scoreless innings. He walked four and struck out 11.

      Advice: The start of the game was delayed due to rain, but that didn't throw Bradish out of his rhythm. He threw 63 of 103 pitches for strikes while generating 13 whiffs. While the four walks were a season high for the right-hander, it's nothing to be concerned about given his overall dominance in the contest.
