    • Three hits, steal in blowout win
Henderson went 3-for-5 with two doubles, one walk, one RBI, one stolen base and three runs scored in Thursday's 17-5 win over the Yankees.

Advice: Henderson stayed hot Thursday, extending his hitting streak to 13 games and his on-base streak to 27 contests. Over the longer span, he's gone 32-for-106 (.302) with 17 extra-base hits, five steals and 22 walks. The 22-year-old is at a .279/.376/.589 slash line with 12 steals, 22 home runs, 50 RBI and 62 runs scored through 73 games this season. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 11:08 pm

    • Lit up for seven runs
Gil (9-2) was hit with the loss against the Orioles on Thursday, allowing seven runs on eight hits and two walks while striking out one over 1.1 innings.

Advice: Gil struggled out of the gate, surrendering a leadoff double to open the contest before then eventually allowing one run in the first. However, things would get much worse for the right-hander in the following frame as he failed to retire nine of the next 10 batters he faced, leading to his shortest outing of the campaign. Gil gave up a season-high seven runs on the afternoon and failed to make it through six innings for the third-consecutive start. It also marked his first loss since April 15 against Toronto. • Earns eighth win
Allen (8-3) earned the win Thursday against the Mariners, allowing three runs on four hits and four walks across six innings. He struck out two.

Advice: Allen did not start off well, allowing a leadoff single to JP Crawford followed by a homer to Dylan Moore but allowed just one more run the rest of the way to earn his eighth win and complete his fifth quality start of the season. Allen, who also hit a batter on the day, continues to struggle with missing bats, having struck out just eight batters over the last three starts spanning 17 innings after having struck out 51 across 58.2 innings during his first 12 outings. Despite the dearth of strikeouts during this most recent stretch, Allen's ERA stands at 3.17 over the last three games as opposed to 5.83 during the 12 games prior. Things will not get easier for his next start as he's currently scheduled to take on the Orioles in Baltimore. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:46 pm
    • Henderson has three-hit game Thursday
Gunnar Henderson went 3-for-5 with a walk, two doubles, three runs scored, and an RBI against the Yankees on Thursday.

Advice: Henderson has a hit in 13 consecutive games. He’s 19-for-56 (.339) with 15 runs scored and eight RBI in that time. On the season, Henderson is up to .279 with a .965 OPS, 22 home runs and 50 RBI. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:45 pm

    • Gil hammered for seven runs against Orioles
Luis Gil allowed seven runs in 1 1/3 innings and took the loss against the Orioles on Thursday.

Advice: Gil gave up eight hits, walked two and struck out one. He was due to have a bad start. Gil entered the game with a .194 BABIP allowed and 83 percent left on base percentage. Both of those took a hit in the seven-run blow up. Gil’s ERA is up to 2.77 on the season. He’ll look to bounce back against the Mets on the road next week. Rotoworld Yesterday, 4:27 pm

    • Kyle Gibson (back) will throw on Thursday
Cardinals manager Oli Marmol said Kyle Gibson “will play catch today” and then check in with the trainers to “determine whether he’ll be available today.”

Advice: While anything is possible, it seems likely that Gibson will not be available today, which would mean that he’s in line to start on Tuesday against the Braves. He would not be a recommended stream for that one. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:39 pm

    • Logan Allen produces Quality Start against Mariners
Logan Allen gave up three runs in six innings against the Mariners on Thursday while being credited with the victory.

Advice: Allen was far from dominant, as he walked four and struck out only two. He was still able to hold the Seattle offense (mostly) in check, particularly after giving up a two-run homer to Dylan Moore in the first. The 25-year-old’s ERA is inflated by two horrible outings in May, and he’s pitched much better than the 5.23 ERA he currently carries. If the rotation stays the same, Allen will face the Orioles on Thursday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 12:39 pm
    • Likely to start Tuesday
Gibson (back) is likely to make his next scheduled start Tuesday against Atlanta, Jeff Jones of the Belleville News-Democrat reports.

Advice: Gibson was a late scratch from Wednesday's start in Miami due to back tightness. He will play catch Thursday to determine whether he could be available in relief for that game, but that's viewed as unlikely. Instead of just pushing his next start back a couple days, the Cardinals seem content to effectively skip his turn and have him ready to go Tuesday. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:38 pm

    • Jordan Westburg returns to lineup on Thursday
Jordan Westburg (hip) is back in the lineup for Thursday’s game against the Yankees.

Advice: Westburg missed Wednesday’s game after he was removed from Tuesday’s game following being hit by a pitch. The Orioles had previously said he was day-to-day and that proved true as he’s back at second base and hitting sixth on Thursday. Ramon Urias will play third base as Jorge Mateo heads to the bench.
