    • Homers twice versus Cleveland
Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two solo home runs, two walks and three runs scored in Sunday's 6-5 loss to the Guardians.

Advice: Horwitz walked and came around to score on a home run from Vladimir Guerrero in the top of the first. Horwitz later added two long balls of his own, taking Triston McKenzie deep for a solo shot in the third before adding another blast off reliever Darren McCaughan in the fifth. After going without a homer for in his first 12 games this season, the 26-year-old notched his first pair Sunday. On the season, Horwitz is now batting .366 with two home runs, five RBI and six runs scored over 41 at-bats in 13 contests. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 8:31 pm
    • Notches fifth steal
Ortiz went 2-for-4 with a stolen base and a run scored in Sunday's 6-2 win over the Padres.

Advice: Ortiz logged his second multi-hit effort in a row after going 11 contests without one. The infielder has maintained a strong .278/.383/.449 slash line with six home runs, five steals, 27 RBI, 31 runs scored, 13 doubles and two triples over 244 plate appearances this season. While the overall numbers are good, he has just three extra-base hits across 20 games in June. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 7:41 pm

    • Progressing in recovery
Manager David Bell indicated this weekend that McLain, who underwent shoulder surgery in late March, should be ready to start swinging a bat soon, Charlie Goldsmith of The Cincinnati Enquirer reports. "He's pretty close," Bell said. When he starts swinging, there will be a step-by-step progression from dry swinging to tee work to soft toss, etc. "It's a very well-thought out progression that he'll have to take his time with."

Advice: Bell alluded to McLain being ready for action at some point in August but also noted it's a long process between now and then. The 2021 first-rounder hit 16 home runs with an .864 OPS in his rookie season last year over 403 plate appearances, so his return could potentially give the Reds, a team that ranks just 21st in OPS, some extra pop down the stretch. • Reaches four times in rout
Perez went 3-for-4 with a walk, two doubles, an RBI and a run scored in Sunday's 11-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: While Perez wasn't one of the four Detroit players to go deep, he still had a big performance in the blowout win. The 24-year-old came into play batting just .188 over his last five games, but he's hitting .264 overall in what's been a solid rookie campaign so far. Perez should continue to see regular playing time for the Tigers, at least while Kerry Carpenter (back) is on the injured list, and that gives him some fantasy upside. • Goes deep in easy win
McKinstry went 2-for-4 with a double and a solo home run in Sunday's 11-2 win over the White Sox.

Advice: McKinstry was one of four Detroit players to go deep and perhaps the most surprising one, as this was just his second of the season across 51 games. The utility player is batting only .185, and while he's seeing more playing time right now with Javier Baez (back) on the injured list, McKinstry may be better suited to a reserve role due to his limited offensive abilities. • Spencer Horwitz smacks two homers
Spencer Horwitz went 2-for-3 with two home runs, two walks, two RBI, and three runs scored on Sunday against the Guardians.

Advice: Horwitz had his best game of the season in this one. The two homers were each hit at least 102.9 MPH and great to see, but his ninth inning walk against Emmanuel Clase was especially impressive. He fought off seven pitches on his way to a 12-pitch at-bat as the tying run off one of the best relievers in baseball. The Blue Jays continue to show their faith in him too as he’s hit either first or second in every game he’s started since being called up. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:35 pm
    • Returned to Triple-A
Peraza was optioned back to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre following Sunday's 3-1 loss to Atlanta.

Advice: Peraza was called up to replace Giancarlo Stanton (hamstring) on the major-league roster after Stanton was placed on the 10-day injured list Sunday, but Peraza failed to appear in the team's contest against Atlanta before being returned to Triple-A. With Stanton expected to miss approximately four weeks with a left hamstring strain, it's possible that Peraza makes multiple trips between the big leagues and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre over that time frame. • Yankees option Oswald Peraza back to Triple-A
Yankees optioned INF Oswald Peraza to Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre.

Advice: The 24-year-old infielder was brought up to provide depth on the Yankees’ bench on Sunday, but he’ll head right back to Triple-A with J.D. Davis expected to join the team on Monday. Peraza did not appear in Sunday’s game and has not gotten into a game with the Yankees so far this season. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:07 pm

    • Sidelined through All-Star break
Toro (hamstring) will be out at least through the All-Star break, Martin Gallegos of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Toro landed on the injured list Saturday due to a Grade 1 strain of his right hamstring, and the A's have already determined that his absence will extend into the second half of the season. Tyler Nevin figures to see the majority of reps at third base until Toro returns, though Aledmys Diaz and Armando Alvarez may also pick up a few starts. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 1:06 pm
