      Spencer Steer hit a three-run homer while helping the Reds to an 8-4 win over the Yankees on Thursday.

      Advice: Steer extended the Reds’ lead to 5-0 with a three-run blast off Marcus Stroman; the third homer Cincinnati hit against the right-hander. Steer has now gone deep 11 times with 54 RBI. The 26-year-old infielder’s .239/.332/.416 slash leaves a bit to be desired, but he’s starting to swing the bat better and should be a solid fantasy option over the second half of the 2024 campaign.       Ben Lively allowed three runs over six innings to pick up a win against the White Sox on Thursday.

      Advice: Lively scattered six hits while striking out six and walking one. The right-hander threw 93 pitches in the outing while landing 65 of them for strikes. He held Chicago to just one run through the first five before allowing a two-run blast to Paul DeJong to turn a strong outing into a fine one, all things considered.       Phillies manager Rob Thomson said “it’s possible” that Kyle Schwarber (groin) could return on Tuesday when the Phillies begin their series against the Dodgers.

      Advice: Schwarber is already running at 90% on the field and has not yet been on the IL for a week, so he likely wouldn’t need any rehab assignment if he progresses quickly.       Phillies manager Rob Thomson said Thursday that Schwarber (groin) is going through drills at 90 percent intensity, Corey Seidman of NBC Sports Philadelphia reports.

      Advice: Meanwhile, Thomson pegged Bryce Harper (hamstring) and J.T. Realmuto (knee) at 70-to-75 percent as they go through drills.       Freeman went 2-for-3 with a three-run homer and two walks in Wednesday's loss to the Diamondbacks.
