    • Grabs 11th save
Sewald struck out one in a perfect inning to earn the save in Saturday's 3-0 win over the Athletics.

Advice: Sewald has picked up saves in four straight appearances and in seven of his 10 outings in June. The closer has been virtually untouchable this month, allowing two hits, two walks and two hit batsmen while striking out six over 8.2 innings. He's a perfect 11-for-11 in save chances with a 0.57 ERA, 0.51 WHIP and 13:3 K:BB across 15.2 innings overall. Rotowire.com 36 minutes ago

    • Hader picks up 12th save against Mets Saturday
Josh Hader tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Mets on Saturday.

Advice: Hader’s save was his 12th of the season and fifth of June. He struck out two batters in the process. After allowing nine runs in his first 11 appearances, Hader’s allowed only six runs in his last 24 appearances. Rotoworld Today, 4:45 pm

    • Paul Skenes strike out nine against Atlanta
Paul Skenes struck out nine over six innings of one-run baseball but didn’t factor into the decision Saturday against Atlanta.

Advice: Skenes gave up a leadoff homer to Jarred Kelenic in the first, and from that point out he was essentially lights out. The right-hander scattered six total hits in the contests with two walks allowed and 61-of-102 pitches going for strikes. To say that Skenes has lived up to the hype thus far is an understatement, and over his last four starts he’s given up a total of three runs with a 32/4 K/BB over 25 1/3 innings. There’s no reason to take him out of your lineup for Friday’s scheduled start against the Mets. Rotoworld Today, 4:18 pm

    • Labors in loss
Gray (9-5) took the loss against the Reds on Saturday, allowing six runs (three earned) on seven hits and one walk with six strikeouts over 4.1 innings.

Advice: Gray allowed two runs in the third inning then endured a rough fifth frame, loading the bases and yielding a run on an error by Nolan Arenado. He was pulled after the error at 92 pitches, and each of the three inherited runners came around to score before the end of the frame. Gray generated a solid 14 swinging strikes on 92 pitches but failed to complete five innings for just the second time in 15 starts this season. On the year, the 34-year-old owns a stellar 2.98 ERA, 0.99 WHIP and 109:23 K:BB over 87.2 innings and lines up to face the Nationals next week. Rotowire.com Today, 4:15 pm

    • Sewald picks up 11th save against Athletics
Paul Sewald tossed a scoreless ninth inning and picked up the save against the Athletics on Saturday.

Advice: Sewald’s save was his 11th of the season. He retired the Athletics in order in the ninth inning while recording one strikeout. Sewald hasn’t been scored on in his last 16 appearances this year. Rotoworld Today, 3:32 pm

    • Sonny Gray chased early in loss to Reds
Sonny Gray allowed six runs -- three earned -- with six strikeouts over 4 1/3 innings in a loss to the Reds on Saturday.

Advice: Gray had worked through two scoreless innings to start the game before the Reds strung together three straight doubled to start the third inning, driving in two runs. A triple, a walk, and a hit batter loaded the bases with one out in the fifth. A fielding error would bring a run in and keep the bases loaded as Gray was relieved at 92 pitches. All inherited runners would come in to score. The 34-year-old right-hander will look to put this one behind him when he takes a 2.98 ERA, 0.99 WHIP, and a 109/23 K/BB ratio across 87 2/3 innings into a road start against the Nationals on Friday. • Blows save, grabs win Friday
Doval (3-1) allowed a run on one hit and struck out one over over inning, blowing a save but earning the win Friday over the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval allowed a triple to Andy Pages, who came home on a Jason Heyward sacrifice fly that tied the game at 3-3 in the ninth inning. The Giants then got a walk-off home run from Brett Wisely to make Doval the pitcher of record despite his poor outing. He's given up nine runs over nine innings in June, though a pair of four-run meltdowns account for much of that damage. He hasn't been dominant this season with a 4.55 ERA, 1.58 WHIP and 39:21 K:BB while converting 14 of 17 save chances over 31.2 innings. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 10:24 pm
    • Camilo Doval blows save, still gets win vs. LAD
Camilo Doval gave up a run and blew a save Friday, but picked up the win against the Dodgers.

Advice: Doval gets the win because the stat is flawless and baseball is a fair and just sport. The right-hander gave up a triple to James Outman, and a sac fly from Jason Heyward tied the game at 3-3. That’s the third blown save of the year for Doval, who has provided more good than bad for fantasy managers in 2024 despite his 4.55 ERA. Rotoworld Yesterday, 10:11 pm
    • Dominant in tough-luck defeat
Sale (10-3) suffered the loss Thursday, allowing one run on four hits and a walk over seven innings against the White Sox. He struck out 11.

Advice: Sale dominated his former team, with a first-inning homer by Luis Robert marking the only blemish to his stellar outing. However, the bats failed to provide any support for Sale, and Atlanta suffered its third shutout loss of the season with each occurring within the month of June. Following an inexplicable blip June 1 when he allowed eight runs to the hapless Athletics, Sale has rebounded over the last four games by allowing a total of six earned runs over 26 innings, giving him an ERA of 2.08 with a 0.85 WHIP and 36 strikeouts during that stretch. His next start is tentatively scheduled to take place in the middle of next week, when Atlanta plays host to the Giants. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 12:06 am
