    • Absent from lineup
Jeffers is out of the lineup for Monday's contest against the Rockies.

Advice: He and Christian Vazquez have now alternated starts at catcher over the last seven games for the Twins. Jeffers has slowed down considerably in June with just two hits in his first 22 plate appearances, so perhaps the extra rest will help recharge his batteries. Rotowire.com Today, 12:40 pm

    • Performance picking up in June
Arozarena went 2-for-4 with an RBI on Sunday against the Orioles.

Advice: Arozarena delivered an RBI single in the sixth inning and recorded his second multi-hit game in his last three starts. He's hit well across seven games in June, going 8-for-22 with an RBI and three runs scored. Arozarena still has a disappointing .614 OPS across 260 plate appearances, though he has still managed eight home runs and seven stolen bases across 63 games. Rotowire.com Today, 6:22 am
    • Set to resume throwing program
Romano (elbow) is expected to resume throwing Monday, Shi Davidi of Sportsnet.ca reports.

Advice: The right-hander will throw from flat ground and stretch out to 150 feet before beginning mound work. The Blue Jays are proceeding cautiously with their closer after he received an anti-inflammatory injection June 2, but Romano might still be able to avoid a rehab stint before being activated from the injured list. • Launches sixth homer
Renfroe went 2-for-4 with a two-run home run in Sunday's 6-5 extra-inning loss to the Mariners.

Advice: Renfroe nearly propelled the Royals to another comeback win, but they fell a run short after the outfielder's 10th-inning blast. He's now hit safely in nine straight games, going 12-for-32 (.375) with two homers and seven RBI in that span. Renfroe is up to a .201/.274/.367 with six homers, 26 RBI, 22 runs scored and one stolen base over 55 contests while seeing a starting role in right field. Among the Royals' outfielders, he's been hitting the best lately, but he could still continue to sit versus some right-handers in favor of Adam Frazier. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 9:23 pm

    • Goes seven strong to earn win
Eovaldi (3-2) earned the win Sunday, allowing two runs on five hits and a walk over seven innings against the Giants. He struck out five.

Advice: Eovaldi was staked to a 5-0 lead after two innings and cruised through seven, merely allowing single runs in each of the third and fourth innings as he rolled to his third victory. More importantly, he was also extended to near his full workload, completing seven innings on 90 pitches after tossing 37 and 71 in his previous two starts following a nearly four-week stint on the IL with a groin injury. It was the seventh start out of 10 for Eovaldi with at least five innings while allowing two or fewer runs. He'll carry a 2.68 ERA and 1.09 WHIP into his next start, likely to take place next weekend when the Rangers travel to Seattle for a showdown against the Mariners. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:39 pm
    • Andrés Muñoz gets hold in return from sore back
Andrés Muñoz, who hadn’t pitched since aggravating his back Tuesday, returned to the mound with a scoreless eighth inning Sunday against the Royals.

Advice: Rather than save him for the ninth, the Mariners opted to use Muñoz against the top of the Royals order in the eighth with a two-run lead today. Muñoz did his part, but Michael Baumann went on to give up a game-tying homer in the bottom of the ninth. The Mariners went on to win in the 10th, with Tayler Saucedo collecting a one-out save. Ryne Stanek, typically the primary alternative to Muñoz, went unused for a second straight day after throwing 39 pitches between Thursday and Friday. Rotoworld Yesterday, 5:22 pm

    • Back in action
Munoz (back) recorded one strikeout in a perfect eighth inning Sunday against the Royals. He said he "felt weird" out on the mound and was happy with the outing even though he didn't feel like he had his best stuff or command, per Ryan Divish of The Seattle Times.

Advice: He was the first reliever out of the bullpen after George Kirby tossed seven innings of one-run ball. Mike Baumann came on in the ninth inning and gave up two earned runs to blow the save (and eventually pick up the win). It sounds like Munoz will be considered available going forward, although his back might not feel fully healthy. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 4:06 pm

    • Smacks go-ahead homer
Freeman went 2-for-4 with a three-run home run and an additional run during Sunday's 6-3 win over the Marlins.

Advice: Freeman stepped into the batter's box in the seventh with the score tied 2-2 and delivered a three-run home run on the first pitch from A.J. Puk. The long ball was his sixth and marked the second time he's driven in three batters in a game this season. Freeman is slashing .222/.319/.374 with 35 runs scored across 231 plate appearances. • Tyler Freeman has two hits, HR in win over MIA
Tyler Freeman went 2-for-4 with a home run and three RBI in a 6-3 win over the Marlins on Sunday.

Advice: Freeman was hitting second in the order with a left-hander on the mound, which is a nice boost to his fantasy value since he had moved down in the order with both Steven Kwan and Andres Gimenez back. Freeman has just 27 RBI on the season, so being able to stay up in the order in some starts will help his counting stats. He also now has six home runs and eight RBI in his first season as a starter and if his .234 BABIP improves, he could be a .250 hitter moving forward as well. That’s a worthy profile in deeper formats. Rotoworld Yesterday, 2:51 pm
