    • Falls to 3-3
Criswell (3-3) yielded four runs (three earned) on five hits and a walk over 4.1 innings Friday, striking out two and taking a loss against the White Sox.

Advice: Criswell gave up one run through three frames before the White Sox plated three runs in the fourth inning. It was the third time in his last five outings that he's failed to complete at least five innings. During that stretch, he's posted a 6.45 ERA, driving his season number up to 4.13. Criswell is currently in line for a home matchup against the Yankees next week. Rotowire.com 38 minutes ago

    • Punches out 10 in win
Crochet (5-4) yielded two runs (one earned) on three hits and two walks over six innings Friday, striking out 10 and earning a win over the Red Sox.

Advice: Crochet gave up a pair of runs in the third inning but only one was earned due to his own throwing error. He's produced quality starts in four straight appearances and six of his last seven. Crochet generated 17 whiffs and racked up double-digit strikeouts for the fourth time this season. Since April 29, he's produced a ridiculous 1.37 ERA with a 63:9 K:BB in eight starts. Crochet will carry a 3.33 ERA into his next start, which is expected to be in Seattle next week. • Yanked early Friday
Lorenzen yielded two runs on seven hits and two walks over 4.1 innings in a no-decision Friday. He struck out one during the loss to the Giants.

Advice: Despite facing plenty of traffic on the basepaths, both runs allowed by Lorenzen were solo shots by Wilmer Flores. It was Lorenzen's shortest outing of the year and snapped his streak of four straight quality starts entering Friday. Since coughing up six runs against Oakland on May 8, he's registered a 1.50 ERA over his last five starts, lowering his season number to 3.05 through 59 innings. Lorenzen's next start is currently scheduled to be a road matchup with the Dodgers next week. Rotowire.com 56 minutes ago
    • Garrett Crochet fans 10 as White Sox snap skid
Garrett Crochet yielded two runs — one earned — and struck out 10 in six innings as the White Sox defeated the Red Sox 7-2 to snap a 14-game losing streak.

Advice: The White Sox’s previous win also, not coincidentally, came in a Crochet start on May 21. He has six of the White Sox’s 16 victories on the year. Crochet reached 10 strikeouts for the fourth time this season while allowing two runs or fewer for the eighth straight start. He’s due to face the Mariners next. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

    • Cooper Criswell gives up four runs in loss
Cooper Criswell lost to the White Sox after allowing four runs — three earned — in 4 1/3 innings on Friday.

Advice: Criswell entered the night 3-2 with a 3.92 ERA, but by rule, this counts as three losses on his record. After a promising first month with the Red Sox, he’s given up 19 runs — 16 earned — in 22 1/3 innings in his last five outings. He’ll probably stay in the rotation for now, but the Red Sox could eventually have him swap spots with Chase Anderson or Brad Keller. Rotoworld 57 minutes ago

    • Ryan Helsley picks up 21st save vs. Rockies
Ryan Helsley converted a save while not allowing a run during Friday’s game against the Rockies.

Advice: Helsley breezed through his inning with a pair of strikeouts and needed just 11 pitches to pick up his 21st save of the season. The right-hander has had a couple scuffles in the first two-plus months of the campaign, but overall there haven’t been many stoppers better in 2024. Rotoworld Today, 8:27 pm

    • Ryne Stanek blows save, allows three runs
Ryne Stanek allowed three runs and blew a save while picking up a loss Friday to the Royals.

Advice: Stanek was handed a 9-7 lead in the ninth. It didn’t work out. The right-hander got another save chance with Andres Munoz (back) not available again, and he didn’t make the most of it. Stanek could be inline for save chances as long as Munoz is unavailable, but this is a very flawed — to put it mildly — fantasy option. Rotoworld Today, 8:09 pm
    • Secures save
Doval struck out one batter in a perfect inning to earn a save over the Rangers on Friday.

Advice: Doval fired 10 of 15 pitches to quickly retire the Ragners' 3-4-5 hitters in order and finish off the 5-2 win. It was his first appearance since coughing up four runs against the Yankees on June 2. Doval has now converted 10 of his 12 save chances and Friday was his first successful attempt since May 24. Doval lowered his season ERA to 4.07 through 24.1 innings. Rotowire.com Today, 7:56 pm
    • Yohan Ramírez gets save in 11th inning
Yohan Ramírez recorded his seventh major league save by allowing only the automatic runner to score in the bottom of the 11th against the Yankees on Friday.

Advice: Evan Phillips was off limits tonight after throwing 31 pitches Thursday, so Michael Grove got the 10th and Ramírez pitched the 11th. It was his first save since the final day of the 2022 season, when he was working for the Pirates. He’s allowed three earned runs in nine innings since the Dodgers picked him up from the Mets last month. Rotoworld Today, 7:55 pm
