      Advice: Walker had to depart Thursday's start against the Mets after a comebacker caught his left foot and injured a toe. He was not able to move the toe Thursday but is feeling better Friday.       Advice: Diaz has hit well for average this season, but he has struggled to find much power as he has just a .119 ISO. He's started to show more pop of late, tallying three of his eight doubles on the campaign in his last nine games.     • Nails down ninth save
      Bednar picked up the save against the Cubs on Thursday, pitching a perfect ninth inning while striking out one.

      Advice: Bednar entered the game to protect a one-run lead in the bottom of the ninth and needed only eight pitches to retire the side and secure his ninth save of the season. The right-handed reliever has converted each of his last eight save attempts and carries a 2.57 ERA in May to go along with a 6:2 K:BB.       Devers went 2-for-4 with a solo home run and an additional run scored during Thursday's 7-5 loss to the Rays.

      Advice: Devers took righty Zack Littell yard for a solo homer in the second inning, marking the third baseman's second straight game with a long ball.       Yainer Diaz went 1-for-4 with a double, 3 RBI and a run scored against the Athletics on Thursday.

      Advice: Diaz opened the scoring with a bases-clearing double in the third inning off Joey Estes and the route was on from there. He hit 23 home runs in 104 games last year, but his power is noticeably down this year. His .119 ISO is well below his .256 ISO from last year. Diaz doesn’t walk often, but has cut his strikeout percentage to 13 percent so far this year.     • No broken bones
      X-rays came back negative on Walker's left foot after he was forced to exit Thursday's start against the Mets in the fourth inning, Matt Gelb of The Athletic reports.

      Advice: Walker was hit by a line drive in the fourth inning and limped off the mound. The initial diagnosis was a bruise, and the negative X-rays are also a good sign.       Rafael Devers went 2-for-4 with walk, two runs scored, and a solo home run against the Rays on Thursday.
