• Mark Canha (hip) not in Saturday’s lineup vs. Red Sox
Mark Canha (hip) remains out of the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Red Sox.

Advice: Canha remains out for Saturday’s showdown at Fenway Park after being a late scratch from Friday’s lineup due to left hip soreness. Fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. Rotoworld Today, 10:17 am

  • Brendan Donovan (neck) out Saturday vs. Phillies
Brendan Donovan (neck) remains absent from the lineup for Saturday’s game against the Phillies.

Advice: Donovan remains out after being scratched from Friday’s lineup due to neck stiffness. It’ll be rookie Masyn Winn, who has recorded at least one hit in 18 straight games that he’s started since May 6, taking over atop St. Louis’ lineup in his absence. Rotoworld Today, 9:48 am

  • Homers in loss
Walker went 1-for-5 with a solo home run in Friday's 10-9 loss to the Mets.

Advice: Walker hit the second of a back-to-back home runs in the ninth inning -- he followed Joc Pederson's three-run blast -- but they weren't enough to erase Arizona's five-run deficit. The home run was Walker's team-leading 11th to go along with a team-high 34 RBI. He's hit safely in eight of nine games, going 11-for-35 with six extra-base hits (three homers), four RBI and six runs scored. Rotowire.com Today, 5:31 am
  • Pete Alonso returns to lineup Friday vs. D-backs
Pete Alonso went 1-for-5 with an RBI on Friday against the Diamondbacks in his return to the Mets’ lineup.

Advice: Alonso was able to come off the bench and deliver a pinch-hit double during Thursday’s series opener, less than 24 hours after being diagnosed with a bone bruise in his right hand. The 29-year-old impending free agent was back in New York’s lineup on Friday night and should be good to go moving forward. Rotoworld Today, 4:45 am

  • Mark Canha undergoes additional testing on hip
Tigers manager A.J. Hinch told reporters after Friday’s loss to the Red Sox that Mark Canha underwent additional testing on his injured left hip.

Advice: Canha was a late scratch from Friday’s lineup with the hip issue — which apparently has been bothering him for some time now and finally told the Tigers that he couldn’t play through it any longer. We’ll wait and see what the test results yield, but there’s a chance that the 35-year-old outfielder may wind up on the injured list. Rotoworld Yesterday, 8:10 pm

  • Mark Vientos goes 3-for-5 in start
Mark Vientos went 3-for-5 with two RBI in a 10-5 win over the Diamondbacks on Friday.

Advice: Vientos received a vote of confidence before this game with Brett Baty being sent down to the minor leagues. That gives Vientos full runway to be the Mets’ starting third baseman for the foreseeable future. He should firmly be on all fantasy radars with a .327/.377/.592 slash line in 49 at-bats this season. • Scratched with sore thumb
Schanuel was scratched from the Angels' lineup ahead of Friday's game against the Mariners due to left thumb soreness.

Advice: Schanuel was originally set to start at first base and bat in the leadoff spot Friday, but thumb problems will prevent him from doing so. Willie Calhoun will cover first base in Schanuel's place, moving Matt Thaiss into the DH spot while batting seventh. Rotowire.com Yesterday, 6:19 pm

  • Nolan Schanuel scratched Friday with sore thumb
Nolan Schanuel was scratched from the Angels’ starting lineup on Friday night due to a sore left thumb.

Advice: No word yet on the extent of the injury, but since he was in the initial lineup it’s unlikely to be too serious. Willie Calhoun will cover first base in his absence while Matt Thaiss will enter the lineup as the team’s designated hitter against Bryan Woo and the Mariners on Friday night. • Mark Canha scratched Friday with sore left hip
Mark Canha was scratched from the Tigers’ starting lineup on Friday due to soreness in his left hip.

Advice: The 35-year-old outfielder is considered day-to-day. Andy Ibanez will replace him in the team’s starting lineup at second base with Colt Keith shifting to the designated hitter spot. The Tigers are already without Kerry Carpenter (back) for a significant amount of time, so they really can’t afford to have Canha to be out for long. Rotoworld Yesterday, 3:18 pm
