• Jack Suwinski delivers walk-off hit against Rockies
Jack Suwinski went drove in the winning run with a pinch-hit single as the Pirates won a 1-0 game against the Rockies on Saturday.

Advice: Suwinski stepped in to pinch-hit with two outs and the bases loaded in the bottom of the ninth. It just took one run to walk it off in the scoreless game. He delivered just that, knocking a single to left field to end the game. The 25-year-old outfielder is slashing .172/.259/.273 with two homers, 12 runs scored, and nine RBI across 112 plate appearances. Rotoworld 13 minutes ago

  • Fielding grounders, throwing
Manager Torey Lovullo said Saturday that Perdomo (knee) has been fielding live ground balls and has also resumed throwing, Alex Weiner of ArizonaSports.com reports.

Advice: Perdomo still has yet to resume hitting, as the Diamondbacks are going to take a cautious approach with his rehab just three weeks removed from knee surgery. The 24-year-old infielder remains without a definite return timeline, but Lovullo noted he is encouraged by the progress Perdomo has made so far. Rotowire.com 46 minutes ago

  • Resumes running
McCormick (hamstring) began running Saturday and could participate in batting practice within the next few days, Brian McTaggart of MLB.com reports.

Advice: Manager Joe Espada said McCormick has been feeling better since tweaking his hamstring Tuesday, and the team hopes to send him on a minor-league rehab assignment "pretty soon." The 29-year-old outfielder will be eligible to return from the IL on Wednesday, though the Astros haven't indicated whether or not he'll be ready to go by then. Rotowire.com 54 minutes ago

  • Bo Bichette ejected from Saturday’s ballgame
Bo Bichette was ejected from Saturday’s ballgame against the Nationals after spiking his helmet in frustration to a questionable called-third strike.

Advice: The slumping 26-year-old shortstop appeared to take exception to a pitch that grazed the outside corner against him, and he took out some frustration on his helmet. Home plate umpire Jonathan Parra didn’t take kindly to that though and gave him the heave-ho. He’ll catch the rest of Saturday’s game from the clubhouse. Rotoworld Today, 2:36 pm

  • No structural damage in knee
Wiemer was diagnosed with a strained popliteus muscle in his left knee Saturday, Curt Hogg of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reports.

Advice: Wiemer added that the results of his MRI revealed no ligament damage. The 25-year-old outfielder fell awkwardly during Friday's win over the Cubs and landed on the injured list Saturday, though it doesn't seem like he will be in line for a long-term IL stint. Rotowire.com Today, 2:31 pm

  • Luis Arraez leading off in Padres debut Saturday
Luis Arraez will serve as the designated hitter and bat leadoff in his Padres’ debut against the Diamondbacks on Saturday night.

Advice: The sweet-swinging 27-year-old was hitting .299/.347/.372 with zero homers and five RBI through 148 plate appearances with the Marlins. He’ll now serve as the catalyst for a Padres’ offense that could use a boost at the top of the order. Jurickson Profar — who had been serving as the team’s leadoff hitter — will slide down to the fifth spot in the lineup on Saturday. Rotoworld Today, 2:24 pm

  • Optioned to Triple-A
The Padres optioned Pauley to Triple-A El Paso on Saturday.

Advice: Pauley will be squeezed off the major-league roster following the acquisition of Luis Arraez from Miami. Pauley has been fantastic in the minors but struggled to get going upon joining the Padres, slashing .125/.125/313 across 32 plate appearances. The 23-year-old infielder may still return to the big leagues later this season as a bench piece, but San Diego's loaded infield unit will make it hard for him to contribute on a regular basis. • Padres option Graham Pauley back to Triple-A
Padres optioned INF/OF Graham Pauley to Triple-A El Paso.

Advice: With Luis Arraez joining the Padres on Saturday, someone needed to get the boot from the active roster and Pauley was the odd-man out. The 23-year-old will return to an everyday role at Triple-A El Paso until he’s called upon once again. Rotoworld Today, 2:11 pm

  • Sits down against southpaw
Raley isn't in the Mariners' lineup Saturday against Houston.

Advice: Framber Valdez will toe the slab for the Astros on Saturday, meaning the lefty-hitting Raley will step out of the lineup. Sam Haggerty will enter as Seattle's left fielder and bat ninth. Rotowire.com Today, 2:07 pm
